Well, that was wierd...

Definately looked like it had potential but was easy to see the main guy switching sides coming from a mile away

That movie in the 90's would of looked like crap....In todays graphics and technology that movie looks like it's going to be real good.

My cat was sitting in front of the TV. After the promo he got up looked at me and walked off. I swear he's planning some thing...
:eek:

They still need a lot of work. The creature CGI looks very bad in most shots.

It's based off a Nickelodean cartoon that aired a few years back. One of the best pieces of American animation in the past decade.

Cats are always planning something. If they had opposable thumbs we'd be in trouble.

That looked nothing like the cartoon.. The cartoon had the Avatar frozen in the ice and there were no mention of the other elementalists. Just saying... Plus they werent blue.

Pretty sad for a reported $300 million dollar film.

It's not based on the Nick cartoon. It's a James Cameron original. The movie based on that cartoon is being released Summer 2010 I believe, and it is called "The Last Airbender", while this movie claimed the "Avatar" title.

It's $200 million, but that's still a lot. I don't think it'll make much more than that at the theater.

No that Avatar movie does not come out until 2010

Agreed. I'm hoping this looks a LOT better in 3-D once it's all done, but there really isn't much to go off of yet. But it's Cameron so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt until I see it.

Uh, no it's not. :laugh2::laugh2:

I think it looks good, I'm a sucker for a good action sci-fi flick. But yeah, so far I see nothing to suggest the story line has even a spec of originality.

I mean boy switches sides, boy falls in love with alien girl, boy joins alien girl seems to be about the basics of it right now. I've seen that movie before.

Don't forget about the evil imperialist army/marines. Got to make sure to please those that dislike the military.

Its got Michelle Rodriguez in it. He's ugly.

We'll agree to disagree on that. She's no Halle Berry but she's far from ugly.
