I dont see much more XFL talk of late maybe the mods move them..or its not catching on as quickly as some thought..

My 17yr old nephew invited me to the Renegade game here at Globe Life(Park) dont get me started on the new Rangers field being called Globe Life Field and the park now used for XFL and other events across the street still called globe life park..its confusing all muddled up like that..

back to last nights experience he has season tickets for two cost him about 200 bucks.. lmao it cost me more uberig us to and from plus I bought him food, drinks, as well as myself beer and I got cold and went to the pro shop to get a long sleeve shirt, got my Nephew one as well im a good uncle and it was his Bday last month and he wasn't around for the family to all get together, so I treated him after he invited me out of the blue..

So add all this up and I spend about $225 , ok he has season tickets for 200 and I spent more going with a free invite in one game..its how they get you ..

The experience food was not great was like cafeterias food , beers were aluminum cans 6.00 at the walk up, $9 in the stands, its how they get you lol

the football itself was like watching NFL Preseason games and I guess that to be expected, it was loud and fun hanging out and a lot cheaper then any Mavs, rangers, stars, Or for sure a Cowboys game..Im not fan so it wasn't as fun as going to a Cowboys game truly caring who wins or loses but all in all not really bad..its better then sitting at home or going to a movie and got to hang with my nephew which is rare as teens do their own things....

At one point late in the second half I was brought back to the 2019 Boys season as I was told the guardians were horrible and the renegades should win easily and I saw bad play calls, bad QB play, drops, missed tackles and many other reminders of how our season went as the clock expired and the underdog won big..lol

lastly it was odd he had 3 other friends there he didnt know had tickets and they found their way over, I saw our chamber president there which well it is a Sponsor as the Arlington Chamber is big reason they get all these big sports venues here in Arlington, so Im assuming the cheaper price and less crowded event makes it attractive to fans.. there was about 16k there heard 22 is the most they've had and BTW Globe Life is still a very nice place to hang out, glad they didnt tear it down..

Thanks for sharing. It's just like a gas station convenience store....they don't make crap off the gas sold, it's the stuff from the store where they make the most profit.

Sounds like you are a great Uncle.

I taped the games, but I have yet to watch an entire game. Just can't seem to buy in just yet.

Cool. You scout any player DAL should invite to camp?
not really LOL I think Parnhams overrated as hes a specimen but hes basically Rico but worth a look, the Slot WR I believe his name was Neegen or something for the Guardians looked like cole beasly but who knows..the competition they are lay ng against makes it hard to evaluate..

I admire you, I don’t think I would go for free (I give away preseason tickets). I think one thing that would be tested would be just the ability to enjoy one game without caring about context or the big picture. I mean, the Dallas XFL team could win the championship and I wouldn’t bat an eye. There’s just no gravity to it. If you watch a Cowboys game they could play a great exciting game and win, but if they are 0-7 going into the game it does affect the experience. The challenge for me and an XFL game would be the opposite, could I just go to the game, root for the home team and guzzle my beer, and then never think about the team or the league again...

Glad they are making use of the old globe life park, it is still a great stadium.
I watched 4 of the Dallas teams games, or a good part of them. Misses the Houston game, as I forgot it was on.

The were to be the favorites to win it all, but they look horrible. Defense not too bad, but offense is worse than a PS game. Painful to watch. But it is football. So I will watch them while also doing other stuff. I have not watched much of any other teams though.
They gave up points yesterday because of the horrible offense, giving up a lot of points for the NY defense.

It is entertaining enough as I said, it is football. I really hope it catches on though. Something to take up some time for 3 months during the off season.

true I feel about the same..I wouldn't have went if it hadn't been for my Nephew inviting me..so it was free but with him present made it worth it.. if I had someone give them to me, most likely would not have went...I can get the experience at Texas Live or a sports bar for less and watch it whole drinking cheaper been and better food LOL

It's fine as long as you're healthy and under 80 years old.

Sounds like you may be a victim of fear mongering.
Or possibly you are fear mongering. Either way, it's all BS.

I think most of the complaints I've seen on this board about the XFL are, in fact, complaints about the Renegades. Simply stated, they ain't good.

Yeah and going in to the season they were #1 in the XFL Power Rankings.

I wonder how much of that was based on name recognition (Stoops & Jones)? I always thought that was dubious given that (a) the best part of Stoops' game had been recruiting, which ain't really a useful skill in the pros; and (b) Jones was nothing more than a JAG in the NFL.

Probably most of it. Jones has really been bad.

From what I've seen so far, the teams that are doing well have young qbs who can offset spotty OL play by moving and buying time. Johnny Football would be a perfect fit...if he wasn't such a complete knucklehead.

I wonder if he wants to play in that league. It would be great for him if he could stay off the booze and coke.

Best NCAA college team versus an average XFL team, who do you think would win?

Like their NFL counterparts. Preseason hype. Regular season disappointments.
