We had the defense. They showed up.

The run game could be hit and miss, but that's also a product of teams not worried about your pass game.

Maher was sketchy for a game, but made both of his FGs against San Fran.

Dak goes down and we still go 4-1 without him. That shows he's not a difference maker.

I feel like this year, more so than any year since our last Super Bowl, we were just good QB play away.

@Mods ... Can you fix my "We're"? Thanks!

I gave you alot of crap this season and I still don't understand why your hatred of Dak seems strangely personal, but well.... you were right. And I think sadly, the answer to your question is yes. I will still root for Dak to turn it around because he's the QB of my favorite team but I'm out on defending his play and I don't see him taking us to a championship unless he gets a new OC who acknowledges what he is and a whole lot of over the top weapons.

There’s maybe a handful of QB’s you could say that for.

Mahomes or Burrow. Sure thing.

The only issue I have with Dak is that he is wasting good teams because he lacks talent.

I don't hate him.

When he no longer has a star on his helmet and is no longer in the position to bring the Cowboys down he won't mean anything to me.

Yes, absolutely. Dak is not worthy of a $40M/year contract and his play this season was a detriment to Dallas (especially the playoff loss to SF), especially given Dallas had a Top 5 defense which sadly was wasted this season.
Dak continues to make bad reads and have bad mechanics which many have pointed out and after 7 seasons as a starter should not be taking place. While every QB has a bad game, Dak just simply seems unable to elevate this team deep into the playoffs which is the ultimate goal of each and every team.

Imagine if we traded for Aaron Rodgers (and he showed up motivated). We would have been Super Bowl favorites.

This year, I think that’s a “yes”. You are correct.

We only needed a QB to drive the bus and not turn the ball over during crucial times in the games. I think there are a lot of QBs' who could have done that at a much cheaper price.

Definitely would have spanked SF, didn’t even need Burrow. Don’t throw those 2 bad INTs, SF doesn’t score 19 and you’re not held to 12.

Then Dallas in Philly is anybody’s game
I think Sam Howel of Washington would have been more careful with the ball than Dak. I think Dak just throws up the ball and hopes for the best.

Dak’s play in the last game was the primary reason for losing the game. Jerry’s blind love for the QB and the RB was the prime reason we didn’t have consistency throughout the year in my opinion. From the top down, the approval from Jerry always holds more weight than results on the field and the sideline.

Remember when everyone tried to dismiss what Rush did? Oh, he's just playing bad teams. You heard that dismissal pretty much all the way up until Duck lost to the Washington No-Names. The truth is, in 5 years, we will still be talking about Romo more than Dak.
