What About Boulware?

The Cowboys weren't able to get McGinest to come in, but since Peter Boulware has been released would he be worth a look? He's got plenty of experience in the 3-4, and if healthy could provide 8-10 sacks for us. Of course that is the catch, since he missed all of 2004 and didn't start last year. Even as a situational guy and someone that could help out Ware, I think he's worth a shot for the right price.

Boulware did nothing last year (9 tackles). He is done. Completely done. I'd say stick a fork in him but it would bounce off because he is so totally overdone.

After last year, I feel a little weary of injury prone players. I don't want the Cowboys to pay out top dollar for someone that will ride the pines. But he does have talent, so I would take him if he came cheap.

He's more than injury prone. He is completely worn down. He's got nothing left. Dat was in the same boat last year -- and he completely outperformed Boulware.

Once upon a time, Boulware was a force to be reckoned with... if it was THAT Peter Boulware, I'd say yes, quickly...

But the fact is, he tore up his knee about 2 years ago, and has never been the same since... he just doesn't have the wheels any more...
