The Gold Glove winners were announced today, and Derek Jeter who finished DEAD LAST in the AL in fielding percentage, won the Gold Glove.

I love it.. You are the worst fielding SS in the AL, and one of the worst in baseball and you win a Gold Glove??

Amazing.

I was in complete amazement at this. How Elvis Andrus did not win is beyond me. Whatever.

On a side note, how do you like Tanner and Logan Brock, and Josh Boyce on TCU? All former teammates of mine my two years we went to the state championship in football :D

Dead last? Huh?

His fielding percentage this year was .989 which was first.

If you're talking about his range, then yes, he's at the bottom. But that's a pretty stupid argument to argue.

I dont know what you have been watching but he deserved it. He might not be flashy, but he was tops in fielding percentage and only committed 6 errors this season. Tex, Cano, and Jeter played great all season defensively.

I agree it's ridiculous, but it's not because of fielding percentage, because he was ranked highly there. Had very few errors. But his range is so limited nowadays over some of the younger SS that he doesn't get to as many balls. Elvis Andrus and Alexei Ramirez were better defensively but get to more balls, hence they have more errors. It was probably Jeter's last chance to win one.

No, he did not. He didn't commit errors, but his range isn't gold glove caliber. As a matter of fact, his defensive range actually puts him below average as a defensive short stop. If A-Rod wasn't playing 3rd base, Jeter would be.

Believe me, this will be the last one he ever gets. It isn't deserved. It was probably just a gift for the great career he has had.

Studs.. All three..

Logan has great hands.. Really reliable.

Tanner has made losing Washington and Hughes tolerable and the defense hasn't missed a beat.

Boyce? Bright future.

You had some damn good teammates friend :)
