That sounds nice.

Ron Washington may not be the best manager in terms of managing a game but he's a great motivator. He's got that team together, loose, and focused.

Let's just hope that this isn't the only time a Texas team kicks the daylights out of a New York team this weekend (to include Monday Night of course).

Hard to compare baseball to football but the thing that has stuck with me is these guys go for the jugular when the opportunity strikes and they believe in each other.

Jerry Jones should bow to the outstanding leadership of the Rangers Organization. From Top down a total "TEAM" concept.

Nolon Ryan has provided the DFW area what the Cowboys can not/have not since the 1990's.

Trade for Cliff Lee?

Baseball, even on defense, does not require remotely as much teamwork as football does.

Kudos to Rangers. YANKEES LOSE!! YANKEES LOSE!!

...forget about the Rangers...if i'm a member of the Cowboys coaching staff i'm running America's Game 2001 Patriots [24 and 7]...a team that started 1-3...5-5 at midseason and ultimately a division title at 11-5 with a first round bye...finally getting "Super" revenge on the team [Rams] that beat them in the regular season that year...

Rangers advance to their first World Series
ARLINGTON, Texas – On a rare patch of green in north Texas, against a backdrop of confetti streams and honky-tonk reverb, there came the dawning of a baseball franchise.

A warm wind howled over the walls of Rangers Ballpark, whipping scraps of colored paper into tiny hurricanes. Ginger ale plumes filled the sky.

On a football Friday night in a football town, more than 50,000 folks swooned at the slider that froze Alex Rodriguez(notes) – of all people, Alex Rodriguez – and finished off a 6-1 victory over the New York Yankees in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series.

Coming out of spring training, this team showed such a heart,” said Rangers icon Nolan Ryan, the Hall of Fame pitcher who is the team president and a part-owner. “There were so many things going on, and they were just unbelievable.”

Rodriguez was one the largest unsecured creditors owed money by the Rangers in a messy bankruptcy case this summer before a group led by Ryan and Chuck Greenberg bought the team from Tom Hicks in an auction. Rodriguez was owned about $25 million in deferred compensation for his three seasons (2001-03) when Texas finished last in the AL West each time.

note: the rangers are in world series, something that the cowboys management, coaches and players could learn about playing team game, no big stars celebrating with stupid mistakes or free lancing not doing their assignments, to a tough disciplined coach for rangers, that rubs off on the players to play with intensity, discipline and accountability with an aggressive style, not passive like cupcake wade, (sure wade can get testy with media reporters, but has wade ever chewed out a player on sidelines?), to the new owner and nolan ryan involved.
just my thoughts zoners;

the dallas cowboys players, coaches and ownership had better take note, look below what is being said;

One can see Cowboys Stadium from the concourses of the ballpark. Second baseman Ian Kinsler(notes) had to shout to be heard over the crowd where he stood, an hour after the final pitch.

“They never believed in us,” he said, meaning the people wearing the antler hats and the claw shirts and the red everywhere. “They never truly believed.”

He was not being critical. Thirty-eight years is a lot to knock out in one baseball season.

“We proved it to them,” he said. “And now we’re going to make this a baseball town. I mean, they had nothing to hold onto. And we gave them something tonight. It’s not a football town anymore, I’ll tell you that. We’re going to turn this into a baseball town.”

Now I will add something that joe namath said about this team; cowboys players and coaches had better take note;
Joe Namath: (on Cowboys) Focus has been horrendous

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowbo...cus-horrendous

Their focus has been horrendous," Namath said. "You look at the number of penalties and breakdowns they've had, their head's not in the game, it really isn't. The smarter teams come out on top, the teams that don't destroy themselves."

The Cowboys have been called for the third-most penalties in the NFL and lead the league in offensive penalties and average penalty yardage per game.

The running game ranks near the bottom of the league but the overall defense and offense is playing well. Yet, it hasn't produced wins.

"I really believe they all feel like they're big stars and they're not working as hard as they think they are," Namath said.

My Notes; Nate Newton said this awhile back too and laughed when the players said they were working hard. Newton said they think they are working hard, not like cowboys in 90s. And daryl johnston said something along the same lines too.

this team has a bunch of stars, that think they can free lance, and can make big plays, and its ok to make mistakes. I remind you, the cowboys players were given a list tony romo said of their mistakes to correct.

We all have seen the mistakes, blown coverages, grabbing, false starts, dumb celebrations. Your head coach on headphones talking to defensive personnel when he should have been talking to jason garrett in Commanders game on kneel down. Your offensive coordinator trying to get to cute and not play smart football. These dumb mistakes have run from coaching staff to the players. All are at fault.

When you head coach says, you cant take emotion out of the game after columbo penalty celebration, then when celebration happens again with a penalty, head coach doofus wade says, no more celebrations till a win and after game.

This is on the whole team and about time accountability is on all of the whole team from coaching staff to players.

No more excuses, like jerry jones said put up or shut up.

THIS all started with the laid back attitude in training camp with hardly any work in pads, then to hardly any starters playing for long periods of times in preseason games to get ready and get kinks out. We kept hearing some of you say you can turn it on, anytime like a switch.

then we kept hearing, everything is fine, just like we heard in 2008. Even worser results then in 2008 right now with wins and losses.

This laid back attitude has been allowed by coaching staff starting with wade to the players, and jerry jones allowed this to go on and on.

the whole cowboys organization has no one to blame but themselves, about time someone is held accountable, like jerry jones told players to put up or shut up, wade sure wasnt going to do it, but still cover for the players,

with same ole were number 3 and 4 in league in offense and defense.

excuses, no accountability.

winners dont enable players and coaches with excuses.
