Have Y'all really ever stopped just for a bit to understand what the NFL (and by default, us), have been reduced to? With the onset for Free Agency, lack of player loyalty, ridiculous rule changes, and the partnering with gambling houses - we, as fans are spending our money, time, effort, and emotion rooting for ... UNIFORMS! That's it, the complete extent of it.

Isn't that sports though? Long gone are the days when players were loyal to teams and good or bad, teams had an identity that drew the fanbase to them. Now with all the money involved most sane fans know not to overspend on a jersey as the same player may be gone in 2 years. You can only hope your team is smart enough to balance making money with building a winner. We as fans can only hold on for the ride or go do something else. At my age, I'm resolved to accept that sports is just entertainment like everything else.

I think most fandom doesn't stand up to a rigorous self examination. Sure, its all silly and pointless.
