He is a noteworthy guy because, along with Gervon Dexter, he is one of two DT's we had official meetings with at the combine.

He is an interesting guy. Lean at 6'3 294 with 34" arms. Moved all along Bama's DL. Looks like a 3t/4i here, similar to what Dexter would likely be. Not nearly the athete Dexter is, but more pro ready. I think Shelby Harris could be a good comp. Looked like a an early day 3 guy, but it looks like he is climbing into day 2

I like Dexter more. He's more disruptive. But they both disappear too much. Their highs are OK, but their lows are bad. Good guys for a rotation. I was higher on Dexter. The more I look at his vs Teams videos the more I see that motor slow down quick. Wether that's lack of conditioning or just bad technique who know until they get him.

Dexter is going at least a round higher for a reason. He has potential to plus pass rusher, maybe an Aikeem Hicks type. Young has a much lower ceiling, but his floor is high. He'd be an upgrade from Watkins the moment he is drafted. However he is probably never giving you plus production as a pass rusher. However he should be good enough to be a 3 down player, and he makes your defense better from multiple gaps

Dexter is my rd 2 pick if I go Schmitz or Avila in rd 1

Hicks was 318 when drafted and got up to 350 when he was in Chicago.
