What do they add to the Cowboys

Im going to do these periodically throughout the draft. Im gonna list some day potential 1 and 2 prospects, and want you to tell me exactly what they would add to the Cowboys. Im gonna some oft discussed names, some controversial names, and just rando's. Keep in mind this is not "Why we should or shouldnt draft...." its what the particular players would add

- Gregory Rousseau

- Kyle Pitts

- Christian Barmore

- Chazz Surrant

- Shaun Wade

- Jevon Holland

- Paris Ford

- Gregory Rousseau- Solid starter with the possibility to become a feared pass rusher

- Kyle Pitts- Bring us a All- Pro TE and a Air Offense that would be unstoppable paired with the WRs we have already.

- Christian Barmore- A player who is just reaching his potential. A type of dominant DT who can dominate ala Cortez Kennedy.

- Chazz Surrant- Fast LB who is still learning the position. Needs to be a better tackler.

- Shaun Wade- I think his confidence is shot . I think he is now just a nickel and might just be a guy in the pros nothing special.

- Jevon Holland- A fast safety who will hurt us in tackling. He can be a decent centerfielder.

- Paris Ford- If the Eagles,Giants,and Commanders grab WRs which they will. We might need a headhunter to intimidate WRs from coming over the middle Ford is this type.

- Gregory Rousseau – Long, solid edge setter with pass rushing upside. Needs to add more consistency to his game but when he beats the blocker he converts the pressure into a sack at a ridiculously high rate. May not be quite as sudden as the media portrays him as being as a converted WR. Great athlete but not in the class of Oweh and may also be behind J. Phillips too.

- Kyle Pitts – Once in a decade sort of TE prospect. Capable of taking over games as weapon in the passing game. Would give defenses nightmares when paired up with our receivers group.

- Christian Barmore – I'm a Bama alum and have always been a big fan of Barmore but I wouldn't be happy with Dallas taking him in the 1st unless they traded down and got good value. He was rotated out quite often at Bama and I think it had to do with not playing with as much gap integrity as the staff would've liked. His combination of size, explosiveness and aggressiveness will get IOL on their heels but he essentially plays like a 3-tech in a 1-tech's body, and his balance has room for improvement. Still only 20 though so lots of upside.

- Chazz Surrant – Not a huge fan unless he fell to the 3rd. Great natural feel for the game, seems to process quickly despite changing sides of the ball at UNC. Not sure that he will test as well as expected. He has short arms and I think he might be more athletic/agile than he is explosive or fast. I've heard people compare him to Bolton and I think Bolton is a much safer prospect although Surrat may have more upside.

- Shaun Wade – Meh. Just didn't look like he had it this year at all and it was evident that he's incapable of playing on the outside at a high level. The only thing I would say positive is that if Quinn greatly prefers bigger slot corners then maybe he would be worth a look later in the draft if he tumbled to the 4th. Not a ton of teams are looking for a guy who can only play in the slot and has his build/play style. I have a feeling the Cowboys' scheme could cause them to covet that skillset more than most teams so if we could get him really late then okay.

- Jevon Holland – I like him a lot as a slot corner/safety hybrid. His tackling might not be good enough to ever become a full time starter at safety but I could see him as sort of a super flex type that's essentially your 3rd corner and 3rd safety.

- Paris Ford – Really interesting prospect that I think is getting slept on a bit due to his size. He's a converted corner who has the cover skills to be a slot corner in the NFL but I think he could easily stick at FS as well. On top of being versatile and good sticky cover guy, I've heard he has a great football IQ too. Could be a great pickup in the 3rd, IMO. I think he and Holland are very similar but I could see Holland going in the late 2nd and Ford not going until the 3rd (which would be a better value than Holland in the 2nd, IMO).

- Kyle Pitts: Seam threat, possession receiver, gives flexibility with Gallup's contract

- Christian Barmore: Nickel DT, high upside

- Jevon Holland: Sub package safety, high upside

- Paris Ford: Sub package safety

- Gregory Rousseau-I have heard David Irving comparisons, might be better 3T, but needs a lot of development.

- Kyle Pitts-is he just an oversized wide receiver? I wouldn't take him over Chase, Smith or Waddle

- Christian Barmore-a 3T in a 1T body. Disappears in first half of games, shows up late when he can pin his ears back and rush the QB.

- Chazz Surrant-new to the position, good in coverage, but really struggles getting off blocks

- Shaun Wade-terrible season on the outside, but still is a quality nickel corner. Might be underrated now and a good value pick

- Jevon Holland-he is more of a nickel corner then he is a safety. Very good in coverage, but many worry about his timed speed.

- Paris Ford

-like him early on, but all I hear is that he is a box safety who may just become a quality special teamer.

Barmore is probably an immediate contributor on the DL forthe Cowboys but that's because they are already so weak. He has some potential to be a good DT. Where are you taking him? Round 2? or late round 1? It would not shock me if the first DT is taken in the 2nd round.

Pitts is a special talent who creates significant mismatches on defense. He could be a Kittle or Kelce type of impact player. If you don't want that on your team you are nuts. The problem for the Cowboys is defense. And who does Pitts take catches away from? Probably Gallup. Maybe that's not a bad thing with Gallup becoming a free agent in 2022. My thought was if they take Pitts they can trade Cooper then give Gallup an extension. That would net them a good draft pick and CAP room.

pitts would be a dynamic te...maybe billy joe dupree type...for this offense.

rousseau intrigues with his size...very raw but big up-side.
can never have enough DEs.

i like shaun wade...i tend to favor corners from bama,ohio st or Lsu.
i like his size.
i think he has some talent.
good athlete.
tough.
tough minded.

i like paris ford's game.
love his physicality.

jevon holland is another s i like.
good athlete.
always around the ball.
if we miss out on richie grant...he's my fall back option.

i didnt watch any nc games but what i've read about surratt,i like.

Pitts is a one of a kind player If Dallas was to draft him he would be the best TE ever that played for the Cowboys. I love me some Witten Billy joe but this kid would excel on our team. How could you not want a Kittle or Travis on your team?
Gregory Rousseau- Really hard to evaluate him after sitting out 2020. Has some raw talent but I wouldn't want him at 10. Hes been working out in Calif. will be watching his Pro Day see if he put on some muscle and kept his speed.
He would be one to consider if all your others are off the board but just dont see him at 10 Im not sure that he would add much to the Cowboys in 2021 but could develop to be a rotational guy. Just reminds me so much of Taco???
Christian Barmore . Young kid with good explosion. He could very well develop into a great player. He has so much potential at his age.
Shaun Wade This draft class is loaded with CB and he wouldnt be a bad pick up in ltr rounds. He gets lost so much on the field He kind of reminds me of a lesser version of Brown lol

Paris Ford could be a sleeper and a kid to keep your eye on

I don't Rousseau is ever gonna be an RDE. I think if he ends replacing a DE it would be Lawrence on the left side. He kinda reminds me of Arik Armistead a bit. If you take him, you move him around the line. Probably spend most of his time inside
