I missed the first half of the game so all I have to go by are comments on this forum really. From what I read, McQuistan did a good job. I felt he was the major weak link on the OLine but if he was the one that actually did a good job then that can't be good at all. Who were the ones that got manhandled the most?

I hear Gurode did good for a play or two but got manhandled for the most part.

How did Columbo/Rivera/Kosier do? Were any of them decent for any period of time?

it was a collectively poor effort IMO...the Vikes did alot of different things up front defensively but those are things you have to show you can block eventually or everyone will start doing it

henderson and stroud have to be licking their chops.

Minnesota has a talented and quick defensive line.

It should be noted that like New Orleans, Minnesota played a lot of 8 man fronts with stunts and blitzes. The game plan probably would have been different if this game counted.

lets just say I have concerns over Kosier strength, Gurode heart and Rivera health.

Gurode was flustered and incompetant last night. He missed blocks almost from the first play. There was one play (maybe the first one of the night) where Gurode, desperate to get upfield, brushed past a stunting DL-- ignoring him! You could almost hear Gurode say "Excuse me" on the way by him.

On the play where Bledsoe got his bell rung, I can't imagine what Gurode was doing. He snapped the ball early and immediately trapped left, leaving Drew staring at a DT and the MLB. It was reminiscent of that stupid play in New York in the 3rd quarter last year when Gurode was responsible for the turnover that kept the Giants ahead for good.

We aren't winning the Superbowl-- we won't even come close, if our starting center plays like Gurode did last night.

PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't get to see the game, but from what I've heard is this. The Cowboys didn't give up a sack (which is a good thing), but they couldn't run the ball because Minny stacked the line. (8 men in the box) One thing you must remember is Minny has a great defensive line and it's to be expected that the Cowboys would have some problems with that considering it's preseason and Adams wasn't playing. Things should improve once the season starts.

On that note, (even which the stacking of the line) JJ is slipping. Marion Barber and Tyson Thompson are looking like a better 1-2 combo. JJ's time maybe up sooner than we think.

No Joke!!! It is just like ANY other players on the roster: some people think a particular player can't do anything right, others think he can do no wrong. Probably 10% couldn't care less who plays, as long as they are Jesus Christ and make NO mistakes whatsoever, simultaneously play 11 different positions, start several charities, and post here after reading all our coaching tips and the all important "_ _ _ _ th post, hurray!!!" posts. IF THEY WOULD ONLY LISTEN TO US!!!!:)
