I had the TV on, but wasn't really getting to watch it.

I turned it on and it was already something like 14-7. I heard something crazy happened early that gave SDSU 14 points. Then TCU basically returns to normal and only allows 85 yards in the first half, then a complete implosion happens and the flood gates opened. From what I saw, it look like the Mike Jenkins and Scandrick from the three previous weeks were playing CB for TCU. They couldn't stop anybody.

That was crazy and I think that plus Utah getting waxed by ND pretty much killed any shot TCU had at a NC.

With Andy Dalton graduating this season, TCU's run of dominance is going to take a big hit next year. That defense will return, but the ability to balance TCU's running game with a great passing game will falter.

Saturday's game was embarrassing. Especially after coming off that Utah win.

/shame

The voters can't remember 2 days past their own noses. TCU is in the exact same position coming out of the weekend as they were going on: Needing to go undefeated plus an Auburn or Oregon loss.

The voters might not remember but the computers will. Utah dropping to ND was a big hit in the computers and it allowed BSU to draw pretty even with TCU. With only NM left on TCU's schedule, Boise should surpass them in the computers, unless VT pulls a Utah or Nevada and Fresno lose the rest of their games.

This is my biggest complaint against the BCS. Too many variables instead of a head to head match-up.

I think TCU had one of those days that every top team has every now and then. I have seen other top rank teams struggle with lesser teams just as well, these things are going to happen.

The computers will remember who won and who lost, but not by how much. As far as the computers are concerned, beating SDSU by 5 is no different than beating them by 50.

Yes, this was a blow to TCU. Just like Boise State's favorite team in VA Tech, TCU's favorite team in Utah.

IMHO, between Boise St. and TCU, TCU has had the tougher schedule overall, but BSU had the toughest single-game in VA Tech. But I admit that's just a cursory look at each team's schedule, I didn't run the numbers or anything like that.

SDSU is not that big of a slouch. Yes, they arent nearly as good as TCU but SDSU's run game is very very good.

The WAC passed the MWC in ESPN's conference power rankings for the first time this year. ( http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/12119/conference-power-rankings-week-11 ) The OCC schedule is very close with Boise getting the nod for not having any FCS teams scheduled.

TCU
Oregon State
Tennessee Tech
SMU
Baylor

BSU
Oregon State
Wyoming
Toledo
Virginia Tech

Scheduling a FCS team that has a losing record is not helping TCU, and if Baylor loses to OU, or Utah drops to SDSU TCU will drop noticeably in the computers. TCU only has New Mexico which is currently ranked at 173 in Sagarin's rankings. That game cannot help TCU, they have to have Utah and Baylor win out to avoid falling behind in the computers. Boise has
#64 Fresno, #22 Nevada and # 104 Utah State. Once Fresno and Nevada are figured into Boise's SOS they will jump TCU. This is why Patterson is petitioning for his team now, and rightly so. The system is jacked.

In the end it will probably be Auburn vs Oregon and TCU vs BSU in the bowls. Then everyone will debate who was the actual NC out of the winner of those two games.

BSC wins again because nobody was upset by a non-BSC conference team.

If that is the case, then I can live with that, I think it would be an absolute shame for either BSU or TCU to not get a BCS bowl when both will finish ranked in the top 4. Assuming that TCU beats NM...lol Actually, Boise has to not overlook Fresno or Nevada. TCU can probably play their cheerleaders and dance team and beat NM.
