In the past few games, I've seen us have a 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 and we hand it off, or throw it. I feel like we were doing well when we used Dak to run the QB sneak. Of course i'm not expecting it to be the Philly Cheat Special, or do I want Dak to get hurt. I think it's effective, and it has a high percentage of success than doing the things we've been doing. Some times in life you just have to K.I.S.S=Keep It Simple Stupid, that's it! Please give your thoughts

Cowboys don't do that with Dak. Over his career they don't want to risk him getting hurt. We saw it a couple of times earlier this year. But as a general rule that play isn't in the playbook. I would much rather see that play then some of the extremely stupid stuff they sometimes call on 4th and inches.

It baffles me, like seriously we needed inches or 1 yard and you called THAT PLAY?? Uhh, I agree they did take that out of our playbook to risk injury it seemed, but he's been effective when doing it this season

Frankly with a fairly weak center that is not a play I would recommend

Didn't we use to put McGovern in the backfield on these plays with Zeke? As if there is nobody on the OL that can fill that role now and lead Dak?
Yeah....after McGovern's departure, guess we don't have anyone else for the "jumbo package". smh

Teams lose games every week because they cannot do the most basic and simple play in football effectively!!!!!

Last week the Giants had 4th and a foot. There were only 3 Eagles inside the tackle box. If Steve Young, Tom Brady, or Jalen Hurts were under center in this situation, the call would be a QB sneak 100% of the time. If you are an NFL team, it should be automatic to run the sneak in a light tackle box, but no, the Giants decide to hand the ball off. Have the QB going BACKWARDS at the start of the play! There outstanding RB had no chance! There was penetration and he was tackled for a 4 yard loss.

We should be running the QB sneak almost every time on 3rd or 4th and 1. Tom Brady and Steve Young, with 2 of the best offenses in football, almost always ran the QB sneak, when they had to have a 1st down on 3rd or 4th and 1.

It is the safest and most effective play when you MUST have a 1st down. There is much less chance of fumbling the ball. Only 2 players handle the ball. The player with the ball is never moving backwards. Moving backwards allows the defense to get penetration much easier. Often RB’s are stuffed behind the LOS when a defender gets penetration.

Last time we ran the sneak.( I think it was vs Miami, not positive though) Dak made it easily. Biadaz got really low too. That has been an issue. We have the quards in Martin and Smith to run it effectively. We have the QB to run it effectively.

The key to an effective QB sneak is for the O line to get off the ball first. Which should not be difficult. Like Philly does the Center and Quards need their heads very low and their bottoms up. The push from behind helps too. I would put a backup O lineman behind Dak to push.

We had a foot to go twice last week. We fumbled on the handoff and Dak was sacked for a 9-10 yard loss. That is inexcusable! That would have never happened if Brady, Young or Hurts were under center!

Run the simplest, easiest, and smartest play in football when you must have a 1st down on 4th and a foot, the QB sneak!
