It makes for an interesting game but damn it really hurts alot more. Im so disapointed I hope we arent watching ESPN say the "Cowboys fail to make playoffs" and they show clips of us being shutdown 4 times inside the 5

Go Cowboys

No, they really were not.

Yep and good teams win close games. What exactly is your point?

if you take away our garbage time TDs then 3 of there really wasn't, including this one

@ NYG

When we look back at this waste of a season everyone will see that that's where it ended.

True. Over the past two games, the Cowboys have needed a late score to pull within one possession despite winning the turnover battle.

Neither the Giants nor the Chargers game was as close as the final score might indicate.

Every game is close......either you make the plays or you don't. The cowboys simply arent good enough, bottom line.

Missed opportunities, lack of defense on 3rd down, penalties in crucial situations, poor tackling... sound familiar? This is the exact formula that killed us in Wade's previous two seasons.

Our 3rd down defense is horrible to the point where i get pissed off when our players celebrate plays on 1st and 2nd, cause you know they're going to blow it on 3rd :bang2:

First of all, it's not "garbage time" when you can tie or win if you get the onside kick. It obviously wasn't "garbage time" when we scored with less than two minutes left against Buffalo in 2007 or against Seattle in 2004. We got the onside kicks and won both games.

And second, today's game was 10-10 with less than 12 minutes to play. The second Giants game was 21-17, and we had the ball inside the Giants' 30 with less than 12 minutes to play. The Packers game was 3-0 early in the fourth quarter. We were leading the Broncos 10-7 with less than seven minutes left. And we were leading the first Giants game until the last play. I'd say all five games were close games. It's not like we were behind by a lot for most of the game, then made it close at the end. Even the ones we lost by seven or 10 points were close for most of the game and into the fourth quarter.

That's what hurts the most especially these last two losses. You think if the defense could get a stop here or if we could score here but this team just can't make that play. I don't mind all of those losses if you could tell me they made one play that changed the outcome of those games they lost.

Dallas is a middle of the road slub, quit dreaming that the season has been a revelation of anything otherwise.

Todays final TD was against a prevent D with the game already decided.

The chances of that happening are practically none, which is why team go to prevent when they're up by 2 score not only to defend the endzone but also to make you burn some time. If they stick to their normal defense we probably don't score just like the rest of the game, but that's another debate...

For all you blind homers that take heart in the well we only lost by....

Take a look at the 1999 season losses where we finished 8-8
3, 3, 10, 10, 4, 3, 1, 7, avg. 5.1

Guess what? Did not win a trophy that year either.

Maybe if the team was better, we could actually finish those games that were close but turned into losses.

Basically what I am saying is that we are just not that good.......
