Feel good about:
1. Bills are a QB reliant team. Josh Allen has to do much too much every single week. Make him pull out maximum effort on every play and we'll get turnovers on him or some negative play. Dallas is a different team when we get turnovers.
2. Weather. It's still not too cold in Buffalo. Maybe 35 degrees next Sunday? I'll take that.
3. Ferguson > Kincaid. Will Fergie show up on the road tho? Not sure, but he had his best game on the road vs the Eagles on Nov 5 so it's possible he stays hot.
4. At this point, Stefon Diggs is not CD Lamb. He might be Brandin Cooks tho. Their best receiver = our #2? I'll take that.
5. Their defense looks like hot garbage towards the end of the game. They totally collapse, like they did against the Eagles. And we all remember the divisional game vs KC. It's their tendency.
6. They have no identifiable defensive star. The great teams move the ball on them usually. Maybe Von Miller, but he's not elite anymore and he missed a game ending tackle against the Bengals.
Feel iffy about:
1. Even if Josh Allen is doing too much, he still makes plays when it looks like it's not there. Give up one...maybe two? I'll take it. But can't let him do it repeatedly. He made a tremendous fade play vs the Chiefs falling near out of bounds that really changed the complexion of the game.
2. We don't play well on the road, but I'll take an ugly win next week. I don't feel we'll look as good as we did in the last 3 games tho. Road games seem to be our Achilles.
3. Huge homecourt advantage. While we may have the crowd advantage in Carolina or Arizona, I don't feel like we're gonna have it this game. But the good thing is Bills fans get dejected easily, so make them not wanna be there early on, and I think it's to our advantage if Josh Allen feels like he has to dig himself out of a hole.
4. Fear of a sluggish offensive effort. I do believe our offense might come down to earth a little in a game like this in an unfamiliar stadium. Just run the ball, live on 3rd and 3 and 4 and keep their defense on the field, they'll eventually wear down. But if we do for some reason have a sluggish offensive game, Allen might have just enough to pull this out.
5. Fear of Allen scrambling. He makes his best plays scrambling. We need to stay with their receivers and not give up on coverage just because we see him scrambling. I much rather give up 7 yards than 70 on one play. Make them sustain a long drive, they'll eventually make a mistake or we'll get them to 3rd and long which is the main down. We feel good about our chances on 3rd and long.
6. Fear of over arrogance. We're all feeling good right now. I can see the smiles on all our players' faces. I can see our fans getting excited. I can see national media hyping us up. But don't start feeling too good. Don't start thumping our chests yet. Recognize the Bills are a different team that plays differently and brings about different matchups than the Eagles, tho they might not be necessarily better.
That's what I have to say about next week. It's a highly anticipated game for me. Possibly the most anticipation I've felt besides the Niners or Jets game.
