What if all 4 Dallas major sports teams win the championship this year?

The Mavericks won the NBA title.

The Rangers are leading the World Series 3 games to 2.

The Stars......well, far too early, of course, but they're 6-2 and first place in their division, so, in decent shape.

The Cowboys.....3-3, not too bright in prospects.

But it would be amazing.

It would be awesome if the Mavs, Rangers, and Cowboys all won Championships in the same year. I'd love it.

*sigh* i wish people would wait until the world series is over before making these threads. I know logically it makes no sense, but im very superstitious about jinxing!

It would be awesome, but I can tell you right now. The Stars aren't winning any championship this year.

i just wish TCU would have had a shot at auburn last year instead of Oregon. If that Cal kid makes that FG at the end of that game to beat Oregon, it could have happened, and i still think TCU had the best team last year and would have won

I would trade all championships of the first three in the list for the last one on the list. :D

Technically for it all to be in the same year, the Stars would have had to already won instead of the Bruins. Basketball and Hockey seasons run at pretty much the same time.

It would be awesome though, even if it was just the big 3 without hockey.

It's a pretty fun time in sports to live in DFW.

Stars need it the most. That team is in rough shape financially...a championship would buy them the support they need to prevent relocation

Dallas won the 2010-11 NBA title....the Cowboys didn't win the 10-11 SB, the Stars didn't win the 10-11 Stanley Cup. The Rangers did make it to the 2010 WS, but lost. They are in the 2011 WS and 1 game away from a championship. So if they win, that still would only give you 2 Championships in the same sports year.

If the Cowboys and Stars were to win this year, it would be for the 2011-12 sports year. Since it looks like there might not be an NBA season this year, the best you could hope for is 3 out of 4....and that is if the Rangers can win the 2012 WS.

BTW, it doesn't matter anyway, cause the Penguins will be winning the 2011-12 Stanley Cup.

Send them to Portland, we could use another major league team

Well, clearly it isn't possible to win it all in the same sports year. I meant, more like, a year denoting a 12-month period, and even then, a rough one at that.

Like, all four teams winning a championship within a 15-month timeframe or so.

So would I, but you got to take what you got.

I'm also more of a Spurs fan than Mavs fan myself anyways.

His point was of all of them, he is only a Cowboys fan.

It's worth noting how unlikely this is.

In any given season, a team's odds of winning the championship - even if you're a pretty good team - are probably something like one in 10. (Technically, one in 30 or something, since there are usually around 30 teams in each league, but the Patriots are always better candidates for a Super Bowl than, say, the Browns.)

So, if you have four sports teams - even if they're all pretty good - the odds of all four winning the championship in the same year are 1/10 times 4.......perhaps one in 10,000.

I'd be thrilled obviously seeing my first Cowboys super bowl championship, but I'd also be happy for the other Dallas teams. Yeah Mavs beat my Lakers but it's not like they did it in an unclassy way. They won fair and square and I was really happy to see two of my favorite players of all time Dirk and Kidd win a ring.
