We all know the offensive line fell apart in the 2nd half of the season with the rest of the offense. Couldn't run, struggled in protection and they were the most penalized unit in the league.

Collins, Connor Williams, our swing Tackle are already all off the roster. Tyron is still struggling with durability and probably is coming to an end of his career. Biadasz has had up and down play over his 1st two seasons. McGovern looks to be like a right guard only. Martin is still Martin. Who knows what we have will 2nd yr Tackle Ball.

We cannot rebuild 4 out of 5 lineman in one offseason, especially the way this front office uses fa. What is the best path to fortify the OL?

The emergency route would be moving Martin to Left Guard, drafting Linderbaum and having McGovern start at Right Tackle. Playing two young players on the right side could be disastrous. We saw that combo on the left side in KC and it wasn't good. Not a good plan!!

Option #2 draft an elite Left Guard, add competition at Center either via the draft or through fa. Sign a veteran swing tackle. Still develop Ball at Tackle. Probably the most realistic.

Option #3 Upside Draft either Tyler Smih or Rainmann and see if they can start inside, eventually replace Tyron Smith at LT in another yr. Add competition at Center.

Nuclear Option-use our top 2-3 picks on 2 immediate interior starters.

I would try to trade down in the first and move up in the second. See if we can get a center/guard flex and guard/tackle flex. To make it easier a combination of Green, Linderbaum, Zion, Smith and Raiman types.

I think that's a little Madden like. Realistically, land 1 and another 2nd tier lineman within the next 2 picks.

I am bored but like we have discussed before the Cowboys will draft a lineman, wide receiver, pass rusher, and tight end in some order with the first four picks. Praying we can trade back a little get another 3rd.

Trade back and take Linderbaum and then take another lineman with the 2nd pick.

Probably something like Linderbaum and Kinnard…which I wouldn’t be mad about as long as we’re not passing on way better talent.

We could also draft Zion and play him at Center, then draft a guard. However, unlikely to start 2 rookies

Option #2...certain position's you want flex, others you want rocks.
A 'Tweener player on the line too often becomes unable to fulfill any position...McGovern take a bow.
The reason flex starts rearing it's head is because the masses don't want to sign IOL in the first round, but would accept a 'potential' Tackle, who can temporarily play a unsexy position.
Fans would be shouting out 'BPA, BPA'.... but when that happens to probably be a Guard (Green/Johnson), it turns into 'Position Value, Position Value' (even if it's for WR6...in a draft that's pretty deep but not necessarily strong, and where we could better improve in FA).
For some of our fanbase I reckon the only way they'd look at an IOL is if he had development potential to play WR.
Sign the best Guard (also fits our need) and forget about it, as with Smith,.... it also has the benefit of being one of the cheapest positions to extend.

Linderbaum likely doesn't fall to 24. People are WAY underestimating his talent.

Maybe, however, if fan's (throughout football) had their way he'd be a 2nd/3rd Rd. Fan's dont want interior guys (unless it's a Donald pass-rusher) and Linderbaum has the easy critique that he's small.

It's probably why you can get value interior guys in the latter 1st Round, as player's fall due to perceived lack of positional value.
