I am going to keep a list of everyone that responds in this thread, excluding me.

Ranching, call Apple support, they're really terrific and will talk her or you through it. That's why I stay with Apple, I am not a nerd but they have lots and lots of them and they're very helpful.

I bought a HomePod and was struggling setting it up and this nice lady spent 40 minutes on the phone with me and even involved her supervisor and had no problem admitting this was a new issue. Then, she called back the next day to see how it was working. Mistake on her part, I yelled "mind your own damned business' and hung up on her.

And now she's using that thing to spy on you, and steal all your recipes.

You already got your answer from Roughneck. X is a great phone...I’m waiting till the price drops,or I’d already have that myself.

When you get to the "APPS and Data" screen during set up, there is an option to move data from Android. Go to Google Play on the android and install "Move to IOS". This will let you set up a peer to peer network. Just follow the instructions in the App and it shoudl go through without a hitch.
Step by step here:

Graduation gift. Got a $200 gift card at Sam's. Best deal I could find.
Oh I’m not looking to get a new one yet. I’m waiting another year and a half. It’s going to go down by half the amount. I’ve already spent waaaay too much on phones, and just had this replaced couple weeks ago. How much did you pay though in full?

1k minus the 200 dollar gift card, so $800. Crazy! Cost more than her laptop. She deserves it, she graduates HS this week with 57 college hours.
