The coaching staff hasn't released their depth chart, so it would be nothing but speculation based off of last years at this point.
If the coaching staff already had the depth chart figured out, wouldn't that kind of take away all the meaning of training camp and pre-season? :lmao2:

*PR- Green

KR- Tyson Thompson

And I dont think Parcells will let Fabini drop to 3rd. I think he'll have no problem with Petitit starting, in fact hes probably rooting for him, but Fabini will probably back up both tackles

I have Fabini as the primary backup to LT

This position in the 3-4 requires a speed guy, someone who can run (Dat)
this is why Akin has been signed. I don't know if Parham is athletic enough
for this spot, maybe behind James will suit him better.

No, they have a depth chart, thats how players know when and where they are lining up in first, second, third team. Duh.

I agree for the most part. the only changes I would make are:

QB- Bledsoe, Romo, Henson - IMHO I believe BP feels more comfortable with (read as trusts) were Romo is in his development to take over the team if DB were to miss time.

LT- Flo, Fabini

RT- Petitti, Fabini, Columbo - Fabini's experience will give him the backup spot at both tackles. Columbo has missed alot of time and it will take more than just a good offseason in the weight room to push Fabini out of the backup role.

SOLB- Singleton, Carpenter - This may change as the season progresses but BP will rely on the veteran presence until he feels carpenter can handle the load.

Just my 2 cents.

IMHO

QB: Bledsoe, Romo, Henson
RB: Jones, Barber, Thompson
TE: Witten, Fasano, Hannam, Pierce
WR: TO, Glenn, Crayton, Green, Copper
OLT: Adams, Fabini
OLG: Kosier, Peterman
OC: Johnson, Gurode
ORG: Rivera
ORT: Pettiti, Columbo

LDE: Spears, Hatcher, Ratliff
NT: Ferguson, Stanley, Pepper Johnson
RDE: Canty, Ellis
WOLB: Ware, Burnett
WILB: Ayodele, Fowler
SILB: James, Parham
SOLB: Carpenter, Singleton, Boiman
LCB: Newman, Reeves
SS: Williams, Beriault
FS: Davis, Watkins, Coleman
RCB: Henry, Glenn

K: Vanderjagt
P: McBriar
LS: Ladouceur

Returning starters are in Bold.

New starters are in Italics.

That is five new starters and serious upgrades in depth. Fifteen players who weren't with Dallas last year. Pretty much each one an upgrade over what we had last year. Vanderjagt, TO and Carpenter should be serious upgrades. Those three alone could make a huge difference in how we play.

Overall a very good roster that is much improved from the roster that went 9-7 last year.

Gurode can play C or G.
Coleman can play S or CB.
Fabini can play right or left tackle.
Burnett can play inside or outside LB in a pinch.
Both Keith Davis and Beriault can play either free or strong safety.
Spears, Hatcher, Ratliff and Canty can play DT in a 4-3 lineup if needed.

That appears to be a pretty talented and versitile roster. Some of the less talented people that have been just hanging on to the bottom of the roster should be finally let go... like Kenyon Coleman and Scott Shanle.

A lot of pretty good players could be cut from the Cowboys because we're finally a team that is full of talent. I could be off on some of those of course. Hoyte could make it instead of Parham. Someone like Proctor or Tarullo could replace Peterman if he doesn't show enough. Jamaica Rector could beat out Copper if he shows enough on special teams. Ryan or Curtis might show enough to beat out Pierce at TE. There are a lot of ways it could be different... but this is my best guess right now.

the depth chart is gonna look like, a big chart with names and numbers on it, that usually is confusing to a person who doesnt know football
