It's almost that time for me!! I love Spring. Weather starts turning nice. Vegetation starts turning green. BBQ's start smoking in the air. People are generally in a great mood. And, the downhill slide to summer begins. It preps you for the hot weather coming (which I generally don't mind).

On the other end of the spectrum, I absolutely despise winter. Used to enjoy it a bit when I was a young kid but now I just want to get through it as fast as possible. I have a buddy who moved to Phoenix. I went down and visited. If I wasn't tied to home with so much family I'd consider making the move just to get away from winter. Ha!

How about you guys/gals?

I too love the Spring. Living in a region of 4 seasons can be a handful at times, especially the winter months. But, its a reminder football season has arrived and so has family gatherings with wonderful foods.

Myself, I despise the summer months, especially the last decade or so. We use to have nice summers, not that hot with very limited humidity. Now, the summers are brutal. It's like living in Florida. Can't stand the humidity. Which is why I enjoy the 4 seasons. Never too much of anything but a small taste of everything. ;)

100% agree. My favorite day of the year is when all the leaves are most of the way out, because that's as far from Winter as you get. So many people say they love Autumn, because it's so pretty.........Yeah, for about a week, then it's the ugliest couple of months, followed by the cold, useless doldrums of Winter for what feels like 15 months.

With each passing year, I think more and more about moving to Hawaii.

Uh.. football season duh...hahaha.

Seriously, we're heading out of a troubled season that is commonly associated with seasonal depression, so yes several people are looking forward to spring.

It feels like in the Mid-Atlantic coast we miss out on the good seasons; spring and fall. Always overcast, cold or hot/humid :(

I was in Ft. Lauderdale in late September, and walking out of the hotel was like walking into a hot, damp mattress.......Kinda smelled like it too.
Heightened temps, heightened taint. :D Same mistake in that area. Thought I might shoot some basketball in the early morning to beat the sun, but couldn't even squint hard enough(w/sunglasses on, was just shooting jumpers, etc.) to make out the basket. Felt like I need an IV every time we went outside.

Spring when everything is bursting into life. I have gotten to where I hate Summer with the heat, humidity and yard work. Summer doesn't end until the end of October or middle of November here. If not for football, Fall would depress the hell out of me as the leaves put on a show before falling off the trees. Winter is worse than Fall. We rarely get freezing cold, but everything outside looks awful. The only thing bad about Spring is the unpredictable weather as the sky fights back and forth between warm and cold fronts which equals unpredictable weather with possible tornadoes.

Moving to Hawaii would require some research which I am more than willing to do.

I spent some time in Detroit, Michigan one summer. First time ever there, we land, get our bags, and then go to leave the airport. As soon as the double doors opened up to the outside, it hit me and was exactly like your description. Was a whole new world for me. I live out west and all our heat is dry.

I spent a summer in Phoenix when I was 10....You could literally burn yourself touching your car............LOVED IT!!
Spent a few days in Phoenix when I was 16....Played Frisbee for about 10 minutes and thought I was gonna die.

What a difference a few years in age makes.

LOL No, it was 114 degrees most days, when I was there the first time, and about the same the second time. I think the difference is about 70 lbs.

No doubt, huh? Those hot muggy nights, man you can hear the corn growing, cracking & screeching:lmao:, back in the Midwest I guess the fall, as most hunting seasons were in full swing or on the horizon, but here in the desert it's gotta be those 10 days to two weeks of pleasant spring weather to look forward too_O
