Title says it all. I know there is $11 million in dead cap hit. How does post June 1st affect this?

It does not matter. He is not an NFL quality player. Even if he was free you should not want him.

Post June 1 cut is a real possibility. I think he reduces his deal so he can stay longer.

Cap hit does not matter.

It adds 10.9M to the combined 2023 and 2024 cap to keep Zeke in 2023 vs cutting him.

The combined caps hits for 2023 and 2024 above 10.9M are for money already paid out.
- i.e. That money hits the cap (2023 + 2024) regardless of whether he stays or goes.

Forget the CAP hits. There is a CAP save if they release him before or after June 1. Personally, I would take the hit all in 2023 and and clear the books for 2024.

The bigger problem is Dak. They can trade him but it will cost them $9 million more against the CAP. That will make it very tough on them in the off season. This is why I think the Cowboys will restructure Dak, and plan for an extension in 2024 or 2025.
