I know I'm a minority but I believe Shotty is going to surprise us. Everyone is focused on his BORING offensive system and overlooking his experience, confidence, and ability to manage people. We already see some of that with several new faces on the coaching staff. Shotty has been in the forever and day. I'm sure he could have tapped a former coach he has worked for to fill every position on his staff but he didn't. We will see but I'm giving him a clean slate.........

I still can't believe people are drinking the kool aid on this guy. He was literally hired because he was down the hall and Jerry is lazy.

Let me finish the thought. Sure Schottenheimer may be liked by Pete Carroll. The age old problem is he will be in Dallas with Jerry Jones. Working under the crypt keeper and son in a highly visible, extreme spotlight, and its not a place to cut your teeth as a coach. It's like being promoted to commander of the Night's Watch. Good luck!

I get it but it’s exactly what makes me hesitant to buy in. A play caller who was let go for becoming too passive happy? The same play caller was the OC for the cowboys last season where a major issue is they were too….pass happy? I get the run first talk sounds great, and he’s assembled a coaching staff to support it, but I need to see it in action and see this front office actually go get some guys to run the football effectively.

I like his staff and he could do very well. My hesitation is based on our free agent history
