If you had the ability to relocate a NFL team, where would it be and why?

I'd have to say, probably the Chargers or Raiders to Los Angeles. Chargers want a new stadium, so a move is probably likely. That way, they won't have to realign divisions.

Obviously if it were to LA I'd say take a Cali team, but Jacksonville needs to be relocated if they can't or won't support a team there.

Chargers just need to be relocated to LA, to be made the de facto team of So Cal in it's entirity.

Jaguars need to move to Portland Oregon. You would be moving from the 47th biggest TV market up to the 22nd. Their metro population growth has outpaced the national average for over a decade. It's a young, up and coming technology based city with a lot of young people with a lot of disposable income, and they've already shown that they can fanatically support a professional sports franchise (Trailblazers). Put them in the NFC West to take advantage of the geographical rivaly with Seattle. Move St. Louis to AFC South to replace the Jaguars, they're a much more realistic rivalry with Indianapolis and Tennesee.

Relocate the Commanders to Borneo and have their games on wednesday mornings.

The Jaguars are leading their division, but tickets are still available for their last two home games (including one that is just days away).

Jacksonville simply isn't an NFL town.

After reading some of the above comments, I thought I would relay some trivia:

Jacksonville is not a top-rated attendence team but it's not as bad as it may seem.
They have about the same attendance as Pittsburgh and Minnesota, more than Chicago and Arizona--but just have a huge stadium that is hard to sell out.

They have FAR more than teams like Oakland (18,000 more per game), Tampa Bay, Cincy, etc.

Oh yeah, and more tirvia: Dallas and Washington are on top by a very large margin.

Las Vegas would be a fantastic place IMO to have a team, LA aswell.

I'd love to see the league add 8 more teams, 4 more in the U.S 4 outside of it. 1 more team per division, this would make the spread of talent alot wider, and would give alot more people high paying jobs, helps the economy. People will get money to build 8 new stadiums, people will work in them, people will work scouting, management, coaching, players, waterboysetc; economically it would be fantastic for the U.S, and earth.

Toronto, Mexico City, London & 1 more city get a team, this would be highly controversial, but I would love to see the disparity it would create, I don't like that one year a team is a SuperBowl contender and the next they are one of the worst in the league, or one year a team is the worst in the league and the next year their in the playoffs. I would prefer it a process, 3-4 years for a downfall, 3-4 years to buildup, im not sure many people would agree on that, but having 40 teams economically would be a huge boost to the local markets economies, plus would bring money from other countries into ours in the form of high paid athletes, who are historically lose with their money.

Buffalo to Toronto....

Toronto is one of the biggest markets in North America, and one of the biggest without an NFL Franchise...

An NFL team here would be unbelievably successful. The CFL would have something to say about that though.

**** the CFL.

The Giants and Jets to LA. I just want them and their fans out of my home state.

On a serious note, Jacksonville to Vegas and San Diego to LA.

Good point. Interesting link: http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance

I'd move:

Jacksonville to LA - the SoCal market can easily hold two teams. They just need the right owner to go to LA. I think if they had an aggressive marketing owner and changed the team name to more reflect LA and really embraced LA and found a good stadium that was somewhat easy to get to, it would work easily.

Buffalo to Toronto - Buffalo's economy is too drained to hold this team anymore. It's almost ridiculous that NYJ and NE play in the same division.
