was Bledsoe's footwork was so bad....I didn't have problems with some of the plays he made or missed, but after so many years in the league his footwork was awful yesterday.

also the eagles executed the defensive game plan greatly. they didn't let the WRs beat us. we had 37 minutes TOP. you give me that every game and I promise you a 12 win season. the eagles made 3 big plays, so part of th blame for this game has to go to the defense. Roy Wiliams had a really bad ame, so did watkins. our OL didn't protect very well. Bledsoe was assaulted all day. they did that mostly with their front 7 and drop 4 into coverage. their CBs played out of this world. they pressed at the line and we didn't make them pay...why because by the time the WRs got passed them, bledsoe was on his back. yes, some of that was his fault but not all of it. Darren Howard played out of this world yesterday.

we rushed well, controlled the clock. got some pressure, but McNabb made plays. that's the bottom line. lets not forget, we played at philly and they were even more fired up than us. we have TO who was fired up. but the whole philly team was fired up.

at the end, we still had a chance and screwed it up. if we had to play them over again and you told me we will rush for 140+ and controll the clock for 37 minutes. I would take it again.

Dont forget about the pass rush, or lack there of, that flew back to Dallas at halftime.

Interesting comments about the footwork.

Here's something I noticed on several ocassions. We had 2 guys in the backfield, both of whom stayed in to block, yet Bledsoe never dropped back far enough for them to step in front and take on the rushing Eagles - they both ended up side by side with Bledsoe without enough room between Bledsoe and the O-line to step up and help as blockers. Accordingly, they served no purpose at all - they weren't recievers or runners or blockers - they were wasted bodies on the field.

I wondered if that was a flaw in the play design or if it was Bledsoe being lazy in his drop back ......

I don't know, but if I never see another Bledsoe "jump pass", it won't be soon enough.

Most suprising thing to me was apparently we thought our OL could go toe-to-toe with their DL.

Game plan was horrendous.

BP thought we had to score 30+ to win.

We wouldn't have had to if our O/ST wouldn't have coughed it up 3 times in first quarter........

2 of those inside our 20.

We ran for 145.

Should have used a 2003 offensive game plan and wore their small DL down.

What I found surprising is the play of the Dallas secondary. I expected them to play better than they did yesterday. Very disappointing.

I think they took a mental vacation this week instead of Vandersmack.
