What would it take to salvage this FA?

not that its really gone bad or anything yet but what signings would make you happy in the next week or so.

For me its:

1. T.O.- say what you want about him but hes a playmaker and we dont have 1 on offense
2. Mike Logan- a veteran S that would help us out
3. Paul Edinger- he been a little inconsistant recently but in the past he was a top kicker so hopefully he could return to his old form
4. Jamie Sharper- everybody here is saying that we need an OLB but i think an ILB would help more. and with the depth at OLB in the draft ILB would be the best bet in FA. Sharper is a tackling machine and would help us against the run
5. Jason Fabini- why not? hes a vet and is probably an upgrade over Petteti. plus you know BP is most likely going to bring him in anyway.

Yeah id love to get all those guys but its not taking away from the pain of seeing the skins draft mad players like loyd and randel el. thats just painfull:bang2:

also it might take fans actually knowing players other than those guys they see on Madden.

Lol dont know if you were talking generally or about us but trust me i know everything i need about players in the nfl. all im saying is while the skins have totally beefed up there WR core we have signed 1 lineman who played for a below average team and had a qb on his back more than us last year. im not gna say the sky is falling for next year (im accually pretty confident we gna do well anyways) im just saying i wanna c a little more aggresivness to get people we need in FA

No offense meant, because I realize you weren't saying the sky was falling, but "SALVAGE"???!!!

Good gracious, FA just started!

Don't be influenced by the knee-jerk reaction of some fans who know nothing about building a football team and are reacting simply because our opponents signed some FAs with names they recognize.

None of those guys, except maybe the kickers, were guys we were even interested in, because they didn't fit our situation.

haha I myself never said salvage i just liked were the guy who made the post was going with his FA pick up sugjestions. FA is a long time. i personally was expecting a Willie mcginest or longwell in the first or second day but i guess the big boys upstairs gta plan 4 that 2

I don't understand the overreaction because the Skins signed Lloyd.

Does anyone even know what went on with him out in San Fran?

The guy was an inconsistent player and such a jerk that some of the vets had to deal with him. The 49ers were looking to unload him.

He may turn out to be a decent player for them but he's certainly not worth all the consternation some posters on this board have had about it.

Randle El is a decent player but he's not a "difference-maker" type of player.

I'm not knocking the Skins because I respect Gibbs, I'm just saying their early activity doesn't mean Parcells is asleep at the wheel.

Oh, I know, I was responding to the Title of the original post.

I know randel el and loyd arnt difference makers but moss is. as we learned in week 2. (shudder) but they are good upgrades at that position that could keep them in the fight

Oh, I understand that, but they aren't signings that deserve the kind of reactions we've seen by some on this board.

based on some of the reactions, one would think that they signed Jerry Rice in his prime.

HAHA yeah im not spazzing and capping a brick like alot of fools on here. I personally dont like when anything good happens to the skins. + my gibbs voodoo doll wont be in the mail for another month or so. hopefully in time 4 the draft. Im crossing my fingers and praying they take marcus Vick in the 1st! HAHAHA:lmao2:

if, by "salvage", you mean having an "adequate" FA haul - i'd like to see a decent OT and good kicker signed.
mebbe two OTs... :D
