I enjoyed reading his posts in the ATN at Extremeskins.

That guy could spin with the best of them. He had zero credibility, but it was hillarious nonetheless.

Fellas, I know that you don't always get a great reception at Extreme but lets please try not to drag Bubba through the mud here. He has passed and there is no need to speak ill of him.

I know that I would not want to go to Extreme and find that somebody was speaking ill of Pops or any other memeber of our board who had passed on.

They made a bunch of changes at ES around the new year, explicitly directed at tr1 and eliminating the blatant Cowboys-baiting posts he excelled at.

I didn't follow much after the new rules went into effect, but my hunch is that it probably didn't go over well with tr1 and probably negatively influenced his relationship with that board.

Around the time he stopped posting over there, one of the last posts he created was one asking "where's Bubba?" before his fate was known. In that post, tr1 took a veiled shot at the new rules over there, and was reprimanded by the mods for doing so.

I don't know if he was banned or not, but my hunch is that the combination of the new rules and perhaps even bubba's death led him to leaving the board, at least for the time being.

It's a shame. His posts were entertaining and his (and bubba's) extreme homer posts were fun to argue against.

I agree he was entertaining in that you could always count on his obsession with putting a negative spin on anything Cowboy related. And his "this is ATN, we're not talking about the Commanders" response whenever whatever negative he alledged of the Cowboys more aptly fit his Commanders.

I mostly skimmed his posts and just laughed at everyone's response to him.

And he made some ridiculous statement about Campbell prior to the 2009 season. I dont' remember what it was, exactly, I just know he was raked over the coals repeatedly.
