I think he was always a pick with the future in mind - Armstrong, Fowler and Gallimore will be FAs next year, and Golston will be entering the last year of his rookie contract.
Yeah that seems like the plan. Bring him along slowly….injuries will allow to dress and get some reps but they probably see him as a guy who can replace Golston instead of giving him a second deal that he didn’t at all earn.

Personally I didn’t love the pick. He looks too bulky to be a speed rusher and too small for inside. So, nickel DT is best case most likely….which is basically what Golston is.

Dang guys, he is a mid round rookie that's behind tons of depth. Can players get more than a couple games in the NFL, especially ones that were said to be developmental prospect

It's crazy that the only guy who appeared like he was going to really contribute this season was our third rounder and he tore his knee

If Deuce ends up being the only real player would we be able to call him the tallest midget of this draft class?

if he couldn't make the active roster yesterday, its not a good sign
Don’t think they took him because they felt he was beating out any of the guys we have. He was taken for the future
