Or better yet, the lack of 14, maybe just 3 or 4?

Just how much did that impact this team and their chances to win that game? More than letting them rush for 170 yards, imo.

The reason I am picking the Cowboys is that I believe in this game they will only have to beat the Niners because playing against them and your own mistakes is tough.

What is it coaches like to use "don't beat yourself"? That is exactly what they did in that last game against them, I am actually surprised it was a 6 point game and the Cowboys actually had a chance at the end of that game.

The Niners are a good team and they surely don't need the Cowboys helping them win this game as they did last time. That, does not happen this time. Keep that penalty number to a reasonable one and the Cowboys win this game.

That and I believe the Cowboys players want this game more than the Niners. And when talent is pretty even, want to usually wins.

I don't usually call for Cowboys wins but in this case I believe they are going to win this game and it might not even be close at the end.

Stats are tangibles but in the all-important intangible category, the Cowboys have the edge in this game. because after Monday night, they believe.

My only worry…mid third quarter the mismatch on rest starts to catch up and if we blink we might get pounded in the final 20 mins…hope they keep the energy and intensity up the whole game

Im so glad we lucked out on Gregory, that 3rd down stop to only get negated by a dumb hold. And no guaranteed CW/Doug free penalties hopefully.

So what you're saying is, you have it on authority that Jerry finally ponied up enough cash to ensure "favorable" reffing? Gotcha. We win! Lol.

This is the effect penalties had on the game. It pretty much decided it in my opinion - a game that could've been won without just a few penlties.

Penalty #1: ON DEFENSE: Gregory called for offsides on the very first play

(Ok, not a big deal. First play of the game, this one we can forget.)

Penalty #2: KICKING: Gifford holding on the kickoff on own 18. Now we have to start at our own 9. 4:53 first quarter

(Big penalty. Dallas was down 0-10 already. Gifford pinned us all the way back near the goalline, and now we're clearly in a bad start)

Penalty #3: ON OFFENSE: Own 33. Connor Williams called for holding. 3:35 first quarter

(ENORMOUS PENALTY. Ceedee Lamb had a 33 yard reception taken away. We should've went up 10-7 here, but instead got down 0-13)

Penalty #4: ON DEFENSE: San Francisco's Own 27. Gregory offsides. 1:14 first quarter

(HUGE PENALTY. We had them at 3rd and 5. Should've been a 3 and out, and Gregory subsequently gifts them that long drive which resulted in 13-0)

Penalty: #5: ON OFFENSE: On opponent's 39. Collins holding 1:19 2nd quarter

(Huge penalty. We should've scored at least 3 maybe 7, but instead got 0. San Francisco lead is 16-7 now)

Penalty: #6: ON OFFENSE: Own 31. Williams false start 13:45 3rd quarter

(decent sized penalty, 3rd and 4 became 3rd and 9)

Penalty: #7: ON OFFENSE: Own 36. Collins false start 13:45 3rd quarter

(Penalty #6 and #7 essentially equates to one holding call. 3rd and 9 becomes 3rd and 14. However, a roughing the kicker call on San Francisco renders previous 2 penalties less significant)

Penalty: #8: ON DEFENSE: San Francisco's Own 7. Parsons offside 9:33 3rd quarter

(Decent sized penalty. They were at their own 7. Should've got them to 3rd and 10 and make them punt to our midfield but instead they keep the drive alive for a few more plays)

Penalty: #9: ON OFFENSE: Own 37. Wilson called for illegal block in the BACK 7:03 3rd quarter

(ENORMOUS PENALTY. Dak hits Schultz, gets it to 2 and 2, but it becomes 1st and 20. Allowing SF to call a pressure defensive play, then subsequently forced Dak's interception. Game is now 23-7)

Penalty: #10: ON OFFENSE: Own 22. Lamb called for illegal shift. 0:55 3rd quarter

(Big PENALTY. Dak hits Lamb for 18 yards, but wiped away by a silly mistake. Dak does manage to convert the 2nd and long, but this penalty pinned us back)

Penalty: #11: ON OFFENSE: Opponent's 36. Delay of game due to kicking unit switch. 13:25 4th quarter

(HUGE Penalty. Fassel attempts the idiotic kicking unit to offensive unit switcharoo, which forced this needless penalty. We get a field goal here, but should've been a Touchdown)

Penalty #12: ON DEFENSE: San Francisco's Own 29. Osa defensive holding. 5:51 4th quarter

(Not a huge penalty. We can forgive this one, just 5 yards but didn't affect the down)

Penalty #13: ON DEFENSE: San Francisco's Own 37. Gallimore hands to the face. 4:36 4th quarter

(ENORMOUS PENALTY. We had them at 3rd and 12 with time winding down. Could've been the play that decided the game. Allows them to wind 5:20 off the clock in total with game on the line.)

Penalty #14: ON DEFENSE: San Francisco's Own 48. Gregory defensive holding. 1:38 4th quarter.

(ENORMOUS PENALTY. The creme de le creme. Should've gotten the ball with 1:25 to play but instead only get 32 seconds, which effectively ends our season)

If cash was all it took, we'd have won the last 10 SBs.
Not necessarily. He isn’t the wealthiest owner. Remember he was just a measly millionaire oil man before he became a billionaire in the NFL owners club.

I guess we see what Dak can do when the Oline actually blocks and they dont commit 10 penalties. And the WR's actually make plays in the passing game.

Coach has a very good point. As poorly as we played last year we still had a shot in the end . Thanks to Dak.

Oddly, Dak was the best player for the Cowboys that day and it wasnt close. Largely outplayed his counterpart Garrappolo by a long way.
Yea, If SF had anything more at QB last year the game would have been over at halftime instead of only 16-7.

Dak was no doubt the better QB.

Ya i said this numerous times after this game and was mocked and ridiculed.

Dak didn't play close to perfect but he was far from the biggest problem.

That saddens me to hear that you were bullied and marginalized here. That’s not nice

Nice low down! Funny most of those culprits are gone….Conner Williams, Greg’s, La’el, and Wilson are all gone now. Maybe that’s why the penalties are down?…..
