When, and what is the earliest way out of the Dak deal? Not asking for your opinion. Facts only. Has anyone studied the contract.

2026 as a post June 1st cut. There would still be 60 million in guarantees left, but spread over 3 years they save over 40 million a season. So it's not impossible, but the Cowboys should use 2025 to draft and develop a qb if they're serious about it.

Do you really think Jerry is going to pay Dak 60 million to sit on his couch? It will never happen, we are stuck with him for the next three seasons at best.

That’s a good question. The answer has to do with how much Jerry wants to pay out of pocket. So maybe 2026.

But here’s the thing, there are quite a few other franchises in the same boat right now. This is exactly like when the NFL started paying their 1st round QBs more and more money until the owners got together and put an end to it.

No way anyone should be paid next man up when you aren’t the top player in your position in the league.

He moved on from Romo who had 20 million in dead money, which is basically the equivalent of 60 million in qb dollars today.

If there was a replacement in place or he doesn't rebound its certainly a possibility. He also moved on from Owens contract not too long after signing them.

Jerry wasn't willing to fire MM over 10% of what Dak would be owed at the earliest we could release him.

Dead money isn’t the same as the 60 million real money though. I don’t doubt Jerry wouldn’t take a dead cap hit on Dak but he will certnot give him 60 mill for free.

By the end of the season, jerry will come to the realization that he has to move on from dak prescott.
Maybe Dak will retire with some type of injury settlement since he's clearly not the same since the ankle injury.

He's on the hook for that regardless, but he would cut him because of the savings of 140 million if he wasn't performing. If you kept him you would be paying 200 million vs 60 million.
