with all the talk about Pacman, Bennett, adding a vet QB, and Felix Jones, i personally havent heard or read much about our other #1 pick Jenkins? mind you i missed the Charger game.

I'd guess most would say he's performed about as well as expected...like a first rounder, neither dominant nor disappointing, and has things he should get better at.

He didn't see much action against the Chargers, but he played well in what little he saw.

Scandrick is the one catching my eye. Not sure what that means but he looks pretty good out there when I'm looking.

What's the word overall in camp? Who's having the better camp; Jenkins or Scandrick?

I would assume that we'd be hearing it everyday if Scandrick was outplaying Jenkins...and it might get ugly. It's hard to judge for those of us that haven't been to practices, but I think it'd be a fair assumption that Jenkins is the better CB right now.

...but I keep reading that 'several scouts have told [media member] that they believe Scandrick will eventually become the better player'. So that's something...possibly a very good thing.

Who cares? Pacman or nothing for you!

Really though... In the few plays he played the other night, Jenkins looked REALLY good. And I wasn't even that high on him when he got him. But he showed great quickness, and he's big for a corner.

The dc.com guys claim that Jenkins is sort of a cross between Newman and Henry. Physical like Henry but more speed and some really long arms.

Wouldn't that make him like a Cromartie type player?

I could take another player like Cromartie. Or a faster Henry. Speaking of Henry I hope we keep him around. I don't subscribe to the move to safety now but eventually that seems a great place for him. We haven't had a converted CB at safety in awhile.

Today Norm Hitzges was saying he will be a player. But at this point in camp, he is nothing more than what Reeves would give us. ONLY because of the experience. But Jenkins in time, and this year will be there and make plays. Not his exact words. But that's the way I took it.

After watching the playoff loss on NFL network Fri. morning and preseason game Henry and Jenkins should be ahead of Pacman in depth.
