ONCE AGAIN WE PLAY MORE THAN OUR FAIR SHARE OF WELL RESTED TEAMS. Houston, Washington, and Arizona all have the good fortune of playing us off a bye.
If the league put in the extra effort everyone would get one bye rested team and the opportunity to be a BYE rested team. Now since there's a lot of other factors at play here, I can handle getting an extra BYE rested team once in a while. BUT THREE! ***! If I remember correctly, Parcells complained about having to play something like four BYE rested teams in 2003.
I'm really POed about this. We have some momentum off this Carolina game and I'm liking our chances on the road these next two weeks. The league just made it that much harder for us!
You know what this means. Since we have two extra games against BYE rested teams, that means two other teams out there don't have to play even one BYE rested team. I wonder if any of our NFC East competition are a direct beneficiary of our misfortune.

I noticed that as well, the Cowboys really face an uphill battle but I think this young team will earn it's stripes soon enough! Let's remember...

"One game at a time..."

Seems like every year Dallas has an up hill battle with the schedule...

Last year 3 games in ten days , I loved that though .it was vacation time.

At least on the bright side, all those teams you named suck. Zona could have 6 weeks to prepare for us and we would still kick their butts. Didnt we have like a 30 game winning streak or something against them when they were in the East??? :laugh1:

I posted on this way back when. I went through the schedules, team by team in the division, and found that, yeah, we were screwed a bit but not alone. IIRC, the Commanders also played 3 teams coming off bye weeks. I also happened to notice that the hardest hit team was Baltimore -- not only did they play 3 teams coming off their bye week, but one of them was when the Ravens were coming off their bye week, thus wiping out their advantage.

On edit: Oh yeah, and to answer your question, Philadelphia and NYG each had to play opponents coming off the bye week but fewer than us. IIRC one of them had one and the other had two...

Looks like you were so busy whining you didn't realize your typed Houston, Washington and Arizona. Those teams are 5-17. If that's a problem for the Cowboys than we have nothing to about because it means we suck too.

They will all play us and they will be too rested.. rusty;)

Teams are historically .500 coming off a bye week. It's not really a boon for the team. Yeah, it gives time for you players to heal, but they also hardly ever come back firing on all cylinders. It takes time to get back into game speed.

I'm not concerned with Washington coming off the bye, there is nothing they do that Dallas has not seen before and for the most part that is the same for the skins. These 2 teams know each other too well to have many surprises.

Plus, Joe Gibbs gave his bums 4 days off! They barely know the playbook and are getting worse by the week and he gives them a big pile of time off for bad behavior.
