This takes established commitment and work being trained and guided...leadership.

Caelen Carson is starting to shine throughout camp

If you had guessed who held the CB4 spot when the team’s charter touched down in Oxnard, who would you have said?

Despite having the most time served with the organization most would not have gone with Nahshon Wright. Obviously the Cowboys traded up in the draft last year for Eric Scott Jr., but we have yet to have really seen anything from him so he was a bit of a question mark.

Perhaps you would have chosen the new-look rookie as we often get excited by new things in general. Caelen Carson is indeed in the middle of his first ever training camp as the Cowboys drafted him in the fifth round out of Wake Forest just a few months ago.

Call it capitalizing on the opportunity presented by a lack of any real option in front of him, but Carson may be evolving into the CB4 that we began looking for. Saturday was easily the best day that any option other than the starting three have had. He was everywhere.

..easy fellas. Lets see what he can do in some pre season games. Anyone dying for roster spot is playing their heart out.

Game time, proves what kind of metal he bends.

Oh, he is proving metal and growth. Support him and don't look for medals to declare value. He has the basket to hold the course worked for.

Naw, the support staff knows the sport and value committed.

All soldiers are then forged in fire....not the grand stands!!!

This will prove an element of dominance and team dominance as a part of the team!!

Sometimes being a rookie allows you to play with a bit of reckless abandon. You are trying too hard to prove yourself and earn a place. We aren’t in the mind of Carson and have no idea what his actual disposition is, but it appears that he is not afraid to challenge anything or anyone.

If he can handle the demand speeds, he will be even better.

Repetition of fire forges steel...the opponent be damned.

Heart forges champions...not just a check list item!!!!!!

Good point. Early in camp he has nothing to lose so he can gamble and play on edge. Let's see how he operates in games. Your gamble can turn into points. Hope he continues to excel.
