When is the first cut down?

Is it before the 4th pre-season game or after. I believe they changed the dates and rules this year. Seems they use to have a cut down before the third, and before the4th, then the final 1 week before the 1st game.

Looks to be some tough decisions, especially on Defense.

I believe there has already been one cut down date. I think the roster limit right now is 75.
And, the next one is August 29, but I'm not sure what the roster number is that day.

SEPTEMBER
2: Roster cut-down to maximum of 53 players on Active/Inactive List by 6 p.m., New York time.

We've already made our Aug. 29 cuts. I doubt we'll get much action until the 53 man cut.
