Where Does Depth Make You Nervous?

Inside the cap era, this is the deepest Cowboys team I can ever remember. BUT where do you guys feel the most nervous about depth?

WR and CB jump out to me. That’s why I’m weirdly ok with OBJ coming here. I don’t mind our WRs, but I’ll take a talent upgrade and peace of mind regarding depth all day long.

rb, if pollard goes down we’re back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

Cb - agree

Several areas.
  • OL- one injury to a starter could be very problematic. Especially at Tackle.
  • LB- very little depth here.
  • Secondary- we already have a rookie (Bland) being counted on- and he’s flashed well at times. But we’re still thin here IMO.
  • RB- if we lose Pollard, there goes our biggest threat for defenses.
I’m not that concerned about WR depth.

None of it makes me nervous. As we see every week, any team can beat any other. Even games with large point spreads (Bills-Jets) aren’t locks. Okay teams (Jags) are a score away every game from leading their divisions, if not their conferences. We pile on our team when they have a bad week, but every team has terrible weeks. Dak scored 3 points opening week with one receiver and half the fans were ready to trade him. Rodgers has played terrible all year with similar talent as our week 1 and nobody in GB is talking about shipping him out of town.

We’re 6-2. Only 2 teams have a better record. We’ll see if we can keep it rolling.

Honestly have to wait until after the bye week to see who is back healthy
...

Depth is pretty good across the board with this team when healthy but can change in the blink of an eye

This is probably the best I have felt about depth on this team in several years, as this is probably the most well rounded team we have had in years. To start the season I would have said QB depth was the biggest need, so what do I know?

I'm more worried about losing those X factor guys like a Micah Parsons than anything. Lose a Gallup, Barr, Gallimore, etc I'm not losing much sleep.

Nowhere. There are still some backup type free agents out there that can be signed. And we still are expecting to get some guys back from injury before seasons end.

That’s fair. A lot of guys were limping at the end of that Bears game

Cornerback. I feel like we're playing with less than half a depth chart there.

1) Linebacker .
LVE and Barr are already sore spots, and it's only rookie Clarke outside those two. then it's only Luke Gifford since Cox a complete non-factor.

2) Wide Receiver - it's down to just Noah Brown.. if Lamb or Gallup gets dinged, (and Gally will get dinged a lot)

3) backup Center - No Farniok ? ...McGovern ?

WR and RB. In a league where running backs survive three years you Gotta have at a minimum three backs getting carries during the season and another back on the practice squad who can step in immediately. No idea why we roll the dice with just two. You would think they would have learned their lessons with Zeke and Pollard playing at half speed last season due to their injuries. Lunacy.

...Cheerleaders...?? my biggest worry.

Think about it. Do we have thicker one's waiting in limbo?

CB. Things could get real ugly if you lose one of the starters for more than a few weeks.

IOL, OT - Farniok is out, so JP is the backup at LG n LT

DT - Hankins or Osa go down it's yikes

OL . Farniok is a versatile player there alone puts a hole on several spots with his injury .

I'm trying real hard to think of a position where the depth makes me nervous.

I'm not concerned about tackle or guard, there are a variety of options for both. However, who is the backup center right now.

I'm not concerned about QB or RB. The same goes for TE. The Cowboys already got hit at WR with Washington out and Gallup missing until a few weeks ago. Now Noah Brown is coming back. It doesn't sound splashy but, hey, the Cowboys are 6-2 and scoring is on the rise.

I think we have commendable depth on the D-line and now, with Damone Clarck contributing I would say depth in not a problem at LB.

Safety has great depth, I'm not that concerned about the depth at CB, DaRon Bland seems to be the real deal and I think Joseph is improving.

To summarize, I am nervous should anything happen to Tyler Biadasz
