Where Does Iupati Go?

A lot of people on this board like this player a lot.

Some think we need immediate help at OG and that he is the fit.

Currently rated 17th by NFLDS.

Where do you think he goes?

I've heard him called the next Larry Allen and a perennial Pro Bowler here.

Mid one?

Late one?

Early two?

I'll say late one at the earliest........mid two latest

Steve Hutchison went 17.....Grubbs/Joseph went in the 20's

He's definitely not Hutch....and he's currently rated 17th before the juniors are ranked.

What say you?

I have seen him on several mocks anywhere between mid 1st to mid 2nd. I bet he is the "it" guy in the All Star games and combine.

I think one of the "it" guys could be Jared Veldheer OT Hillsdale.

No idea what level Hillsdale is but he is a freaky athlete.

Does Iupati deserve a first round grade like Hutchison, Grubbs, Joseph?

And you can figure on 10-15 juniors going in the first round, probably 20 in the top 50 picks... so when draft day rolls around, Iupati will likely be around the 25th rated player...

Which is quite a leap up the board this season, he was ranked a 3rd rounder by NFLDS at the start of the season...

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind if the Boys went with Iupati in round one, then with the best OT left on their board in round two... and then, a center prospect later in the draft...

Good call-- he currently seems to be a late round prospect, but if he really does run sub-4.9 40s in his offseason workouts, well, how many 6-8, 325 pounders do you know that can do that?? With those numbers, you ignore the fact he played at Hillsdale...

It wouldn't surprise me, if he works out anywhere close to the numbers claimed for him, if he winds up going in the 4th round...

I like the way you think, but now way Iupati lasts that late in the 2nd round... he's off the board before pick 50...

I'm not so sure about that.

Is he really up there with Faneca, Grubbs, Joseph as a first round OG.

Is he a top of 2 type guy like Steinbach/Snee?

Or is he Duke Robinson that was graded up here this time last year?
