Where does the problem lie not with whom but where?

OK, some say the cornerbacks don’t want to tackle
Well, shouldn’t that be up to the linebackers? Where are they?
The defensive line is getting blown off the ball. Isn’t that where it should start?
Offense Prescott sucks
I see wrong route being run, dropped footballs. In accurate passes.
I see the offensive line getting blown backwards. So the quarterback can’t step up.
There’s no running game there’s no open lanes
So doesn’t that start with the offensive line?
So in my opinion, this is all because of the pits on both sides of the ball .
we can all nitpick the players that we like or don’t like
Same with the coaching, you can nitpick who you like and don’t like
. But football has always been one in the pits on both sides of the ball.
It’s frustrating being the cowboy fan today. But I’m not going anywhere. I live through it all season Landry replacement 28 years of Jerry after Jimmy. I still believe in Mr. cowboy the star and what it represents.
Go Cowboys

It all boils down to the culture that engenders softness instead of toughness...it permeates everything and every position. That's where the root problem is....and is caused by a who.

There is not a singular problem.
Agree, but the pit is 12 players lol. That’s like half of the offense and defense. I think I know who you’d like to put the blame on. I just don’t know who you’d like to blame on the defensive side.

This not a problem that will be solved this year ... or next ... or the next. It's been an ongoing problem for 28 years. The cancer is Jerry Jones.

Even if Jerry retires after this year, he's left us with a QB contract mess that can't be resolved for another 4 years.

We can get rid of Prescott Prescott has to approve it. But basically, yeah you’re right. I would’ve never signed CD, Prescott, or Parsons down the road. But I’m just a backseat quarterback.

You are 100% right. Every player on this team has played poorly, but so much of the issues stem from a lack of good O-line play all around and no pass rush or ability to stop the run from the D-line. Dak absolutely has to step up and has made some horrendous throws, but it's insane to expect him to be able to do much with all the pressure he's facing, no run game, and no WR separation. Not too mention predictable and vanilla playcalling. Too much to overcome. Alot of this is coaching too though, McCarthy should be adjusting by scheming his playmakers open and getting the ball out quickly. And doing common sense things like feeding Rico after he has his best game of the year instead of irrationally pivoting to Zeke and giving Rico 5 carries.

This is a problem that only a GM and an owner can fix. So I’m gonna be frustrated for a while I think.

I think you pretty much nailed it...the OL, RB, WR/TEs, QB, DL, LBs, CBs/S and Coaches all suck and is where all of the problems lie. Nobody seems to be doing their job...entirely setup by a GM that doesn't understand how (or refuses) to effectively build a team across all of those components - at the same time (i.e. he will fix one or two areas and neglect two or three others). Not to mention the idiocy of doing nothing to improve a one and done team while letting the coaches ride out a lame duck season.

...Whirly, we have infrastructure problem.

Starts from coaching. The HC sets the tone for everything. He's the Alpha and Omega.

The problem is glaring right at us. Jerry to nice, to tell him goodbye.

The D line stinks and it has for quite some time. They can't stop the run and it kills them year in and year out.

And that’s the bottom line, cowboy brother. We can ***** about every player. We don’t like some more than others. But the bottom line is the system the infrastructure you nailed it.

I believe you're going to see a big improvement in the run game versus San Francisco. They began using some zone blocking in the game against Detroit, and it absolutely opened up big holes. You saw guys pulling and double teaming. Good news.
Why they're keeping the outdated ol coach here? I don't know. They should just let him go and have schottenheimer take the ol,
because McCarthy can run the offense.

Nothing against you personally...but I am so tired of hearing this same theme echoed over and over and over and over on the internet sports boards.

These guys are paid millions to play a physically taxing game. They lose their jobs to 'next-man-up' if they dont perform because its a highly competitive career.

The Dallas Cowboys, outside of Diggs, is tackling hard and trying. No one has given up like the Jacksonville Jaguars team already has.

Sometimes things arent in place and the team has no chance of competing for a title and some players make business decisions(Jaguars). Most would.

The Cowboys are not so demoralized yet that they are being 'weak' and making business decisions...and even then...I dont think its 'weak'...its managing your career wisely.

If you want players to play 'balls to the wall' constantly...no teeth in their mouth, blood faucet'ing from their faces....PAY UP, BUDDY! Stop using intangibles like words to motivate someone to play harder for you. If you want them to play harder...offer something tangible...like more money.

The idea that these players should go die on the field every Sunday or they are pansies is an outright joke. You arent doing it...and neither should they.

You're saying Mike McCarthy is the Alpha and Omega of the Dallas Cowboys? Really?
