Where was the love for Randy Gregory?

Randy Gregory has/had a legit mental health issue that was well known prior to his being drafted. He was suspended multiple times for his pot use. Nobody gave him any excuses. Now this Olympic sprinter wants to claim mental health AFTER getting busted and the world is about to fall over themselves turning it into a white vs black thing as well as excusing this because of her mental health issues.

Ive still not heard anyone convince me that dealing with daily life isnt mental health. Whats the difference between stress and actual mental health? When you see a guy walking down the street fighting imaginary people.... yeah, thats mental health issues. Someone stressing over their bills? thats life.

I say let her run. She earned it and it wasn’t like she was taken an enhancing performance drug. She also is taken responsibility of her mistake which I applaud. She is dealing with her mother’s death which appeared to be difficult for her. Using drugs is probably not the best way to deal with it because it just compounds the problem. It’s not going away. This should not be a black and white issue as some has made it out to be. This sounds like that country song Sounds like life to me.

I am speculating, but I odnt think she had any relationship with her biological mother. The article made a point of saying her "Biological mother." It also stated she found out she died through the media... yep, sounds like they were super tight.

Im not dissing the loss of anyones family member, but It also sounded like the media out the idea in her head that the reason she used pot was to hide her issues dealing with her "Biological," mothers death.

My point is it is amazing how a few years has changed the narrative of mental health issues and pot. A few short years ago Randy was being mocked like crazy in here.

I dont disagree with you.... but you need to change them at some point.... until then, the rules is the rules and she is out. This isnt a choice that team USA gets to make.

Rules are rules agreed she should have known better. Hoping they select her for the 4x100 tho. She deserves to be on that stage

me too.. I hope she gets on the relay. Am I to assume the reason she could get on the relay, but not the 100 is due to the timing of the events> I believe she got a 1 month suspension, so Im assuming the relay is after her suspension ends, but the 100 is while she is suspended?

I don't get why they test for that stuff to begin with. Don't most situations test based on what you do? Shouldn't they just worry about PEDs? When I drove a company vehicle they tested me for drugs, not PEDs. Sports should be the exact opposite.

I had no relationship with my mom.....I think the same as this sprinter. My mom passes, I didn't shed a tear. Her mom passed and she didn't even know and was told by media. If that is 100% accurate, the smoking weed story to cope is bs. I don't personally think weed should be an issue for athletes, but until the rules change, it is what it is.
