Good win and a convincing win.
Great game by the offense.

Our running D is porous at best. We know they were going to run and still allowed them to run pretty well straight down our throats. That's concerning to me as we play better teams.

BTW, where was our passrush?? Where is Mr. Ware?? I didn't see him close the the QB all day. I am sure they are all aware of Youngs running ability but still....please generate some push and pressure!!!!

27 carries for 78 yards -- a 2.9 average.

That's really really good run D. That first drive was bad -- but it really seemed that the D was still on the bye.

This was tough, I think the oline played their hearts out for Young. Consider that.

They were playing containment so that Young doesn't leave the pocket.

They didn't start well but they settled down after a poor start. I do agree that early on it seemed like Tennessee was gonna run for 5 yards every first down. But the 2nd half they did nothing on the ground.

I would imagine the D line is still in the locker room celebrating the win.

In the 3-4 the DL gets little noteriety, thats their job anything extra outside of eating up blockers and keeping containment is gravy.

My point is that there were at least three drives by Titans which they just ran the ball down our throats and their OL isn't exactly world beaters. Imaging if we were playing G men, SD, Pitt.........

Containment is fine but you still can't let him sit there and have lunch. We should be able to collapse the pocket at some point. Also on 3rd and 14+, we got on pressure....we can't just be playing containment there.

Even with teams that run 3-4 like the Steelers. You'll get beat on some drives running it but not consistantly over a game. The thing about the 3-4 is that you have 3 linemen sometimes you'll get beat.

Ware played fine, the D-line played fine. You need to chill out, when a team runs 27 times you have to expect they may get a few decent gains here and there. 2.9 YPC average is hardly "porous".

But what happens when we rush everybody then Young rolls out and has the option of running for the first or throw the ball. He's a rookie yes but he has legs and isn't afraid of using them so why give him an oppritunity of doing that when we could have him sit in the pocket and throw some passes that a rookie makes.

GREAT GAME BY THE DEFENSE.

There. Fixed it for ya.

Yea, Ellis joked before the game if Young promised not to run they promised not to rush him. They were obviously worried about keeping containment. Just shows how tough he will be to stop if he ever gets some weapons and develops into a consistent passer.

I thought the DL played good and the LB's struggled at times.

I think we did a great job of shutting them down... Also take into account had that been Kerry Collins the Cowboys no doubt have about 5-6 sacks... Give credit to Young, he was shifty and it's hard to catch a QB who can run the ball... Recall those years when McNabb would kill us...

11 drives giving up 233 yards and 6 points.

Our D-line plays that poorly all year and we will be highly seeded in the playoffs.
