IMO, Ratliff hasn't reached his talent peak. He could cash in on his potential if he can keep focused and demonstrate the same level of play which has already has during spot duty. The NFL has always been about opportunity and it's solely his to control. Good luck to the young man.

It will be interesting to see how Ratliff plays against the Dolphins and the rest of the season. This is a big chance for him and hope he can take advantage of it. If he can truly show he can handle the job, it is entirely possible the job could be his permanently after Ferguson departure in 2009. As a backup DE/DT, Ratliff's salary is decent. As the starting future DT for the Cowboys, this promotion could secure his financial future.

Nice read. I believe this young man really understand what is at stake for him. WP has stated he will adjust his scheme to fit him. We will see tomorrow if he is up for the task. If so, what a diamond in the rough that has been found. Wish the young man all the success.
