Whitney Houston Had Cocaine In Her System At Time of Death

Beverly Hills police said in a statement there was no evidence of wrongdoing in connection with Houston's death.

"We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure,' said Patricia Houston, the singer's sister-in-law and manager.

Coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey says cocaine and its byproducts were found in Houston's system, and it was listed as a contributing factor in her death. He says the results indicated Houston was a chronic cocaine user.

Coroner's officials said they also found traces of marijuana, Xanax and benadryl in her system.

Cocaine is bad for your pumper. Throwing in some bars of xannax on top does not help. Sounds like she was doing blow and then taking the xannax to come down which usually means sleep. Thats very dangerous.

Hate to nitpick, but she was not a waste of talent. She was as big a star as you could be back in the day. That's not a waste of talent.

Yeah it still kinda is.

If she hadn't got addicted to drugs she could have been using that talent all these years that she's basically been able to do nothing but go in and out of rehabs.

She'd also quite likely still be alive to still be using that talent.


She used the talent for a while, and got famous for it, and then wasted away the rest of her life being a drug addict.

That's a waste anyway you want to slice it.

Doctor Drew basically called it.

He got ripped by some people for saying what he thought had happened.

Basically said that taking Cocaine and alcohol with some of the prescription drugs is a very bad combo and that is probably what happened causing her to pass out and drown.
