well, you really can't diss him too much today, by saying no to a package of a bunch of picks and a star player to move up, and saying yes to a trade that nets a 1st round pick in next year's draft, and another one to move back into the 1st round, so that we are allowed to select a wicked pass-rusher is pure genius, Stephen Hawkins if you will ;)

I love Jerry as an owner. He's made some mistakes in the past, but he appears to learn from them, and he's always done things with the intention of having the best interest of the Cowboys in mind.

He's the best owner in the league, IMO.

I wanted a receiver bad, but if you had told me we'd get Cleveland's 1st pick next year and a pass rusher and still have a slight chance to get Rice or Smith, I would've been really happy with that.

I rip Jerry as much as anyone, and he has done outstanding so far today imo.

Jerra is making sure that his future teams are set! Getting young, strong players every year, even if you have to wait until next year...that is how you keep a team competitive....

Look at the Redstinks! They buy everyones old trash to try and keep up!

It don't work like that...take what you need, don't be greedy...and smile, because next year, no matter if you have the 32nd pick...you STILL have another first rounder...

;)

Why would anyone hate an owner who loves the team as much as JJ does?

Wait....I take that back Washington.

Exactly what I thought. I really wanted Meachem, but I also really want Rice. If we wind up with him, I feel as today is a winner.

the browns are going to be horrible next year so that may mean top 5 pick for us. The question is who is going to be in the draft next year?

Absolutely fantastic day!!!!! Cleveland could be a 4-5 win team next year. Spencer gives us PR options.

I've gotta say, I may not be madly in love with the Spencer pick (but it is growing on me) but Jerry made moves and he's trying to put his team in a position to succeed. He's pulling a Dan Snyder except using smart moves.
