Hey all,
We’re all jonesing for any tidbit of information on who will replace the fat man as the next head coach (HC) of the Dallas Cowboys, and I’m sure we all have “our guys.” In addition to sharing who I hope we get, I’d love to hear who you want and why.
The biggest issues with this team, in my opinion, come down to discipline and details—two areas where Bill excels. I also think Bill would command the level of respect from Jerry that would give him some cachet (similar to Bill Parcells). Additionally, I believe Bill would handle the media and Jerry beautifully. “Uhhh... we’re focused on Detroit... you’ll have to ask Jerry about that... errr...”
He’d be great for our defense and Micah. I also think Jerry could manage Bill’s coaching staff to a certain degree, keeping him at a certain level.
I’m not sure Bill would go for all that, but honestly, he doesn’t want to coach in college. He hasn’t seen a better NFL opportunity, and you can tell he loves to work and loves football. He took what he could get, but now, he could do what he did to the Jets to UNC and come to Dallas. I think it would work great.
Jon Gruden – An absolute train wreck. There’s no reason to hire this washed-up, old clown. He’s basically a .500 coach, and his Super Bowl title can legally drink at this point.
Steve Sarkisian (Sark) – A better HC than Deion but not a proven winner at the college level.
All that said, I’m only confident that we’ll probably hire Doug Pederson and endure another Mike McCarthy-esque existence.

Bill Belichick
I don’t think Bill would work in every organization in the league, but I think our player personnel department and overall structure are well-developed enough to allow Bill to come in and focus solely on coaching. With our commitment to a veteran QB, we need a coach who is ready and able to deliver championship-level football now. Bill can do that. The biggest issues with this team, in my opinion, come down to discipline and details—two areas where Bill excels. Who Would Be a Terrible Idea
Deion Sanders – A CEO-type, sure, but not proven or successful enough. He doesn’t excel in any specific area of coaching, and the circus would be too loud.Jon Gruden – An absolute train wreck.
