Where is Vince McMahon and the almost naked women? This is like the XFL.

These men are "trained professionals...."

Sweet.

The devolution of man...

Such a well-thought out sport too. They seriously thought enough to create a league; get cheap uniforms; make up a rule book; rent out a forum where they could play; but you're telling me the best they could come up with was a giant-sized soccer ball?

C'mon maaayne.

they are using an indoor soccer arena so I bet they had to tell them they were playing a version of soccer and you need a soccer ball for soccer

....and here I was thinking Slam Ball was dumbest invention of the past half-century...

How many of these :beer1: did they have when they tried it out the first time.

Ok, I know this sounds really mean and all but, let's say we start a prison league like this. Every game, the winner gets 3 months knocked off their sentence. Put it on pay per view each week and make a fortune.

I would actually be okay with televised prison extreme sports. Allow people, totally on a volunteer basis, to win their freedom. You'd have to limit it to those in prison for non-violent crimes though. You wouldn't want murderers wandering the streets because they're good at tazerball or something. :D

Actually I thought Slamball was a lot of fun to watch....though I was like 12.

The problem they ran into was that they tried to make it serious.I think Rashaan Salaam (or however you spell it) was like the anchor on the post-game show :laugh2:

I think I'd still watch it if it was on TV.

I mean, if you make a more structured rule set, add a bigger court, and make everything a little less cheap looking? I think Slamball is more interesting to watch than Basketball by a lot.
