Do you guys remember in the hey day of the 90s we had Aikman as our starting QB, Beuerlein as the backup, and then Kupp as the emergency 3rd-string QB? I don't believe Kupp ever saw any action outside of preseason and scrimmages. However, does anyone know if he was related to Cooper Kupp?

Craig Kupp bounced around the nfl as a backup QB, but only stuck for 1 reason on an active roster, the cardinals. He is Cooper’s father

did you maybe have him and cut him in training camp?

Wow, that's pretty cool. I thought they might be related.

Aikman mentioned this in a Rams broadcast early in the season. They had Cooper in the production meeting and Cooper mentioned his dad played for the Cowboys (very briefly). Troy had no idea.

Apparently Craig Kupp never taught Cooper how to an accurate pass. That overthrow was the only thing he did wrong yesterday.
