Anyone catch who was getting the calls on defense this past Sunday?

They subbed out the linebackers during the game. Was that duty split between Clark and Rashaan Evans?

I know it used to be Vander Esch, then in preseason Overshown had it some as well, for substitutions.

I don't think they trusted Clark with it last year, but they trusted Overshown pretty much immediately, it seems.

They seem to have not wanted to put it on Parsons.

During the preseason Damone Clark wore the green dot.

However, based off this article, it seems like it has shifted players over the year after LVE went down.

We have a new dot in Dallas. Malik Hooker is now calling the plays. The Cowboys limited the Giants to just 56 plays and there weren't many tackle opportunities for the defense.

This article mentioned Kearse took over the green dot after LVE went down.

Following linebacker Leighton Vander Esch's neck injury that has him on injured reserve, Kearse has now become the player responsible with having the green dot on his helmet, meaning he is the on-field defensive signal-caller, relaying Quinn's calls to the rest of his teammates before the snap.

I guess I misread the articles then because I thought they were training Overshown to do it, not Clark. That was one of the reasons he was getting all the hype besides what he showed at TC. Impressive to let a rookie do it. Makes sense though if Hook is doing it. Has quietly become the best LB or S on the team, other than the playmaker flashing of Bell this year.

To be fair to your point, it may of been a preseason game after Overshown was lost for the year. I'd have to find that article again on Clark

Here's the article for the green dot mention for Clark.

I think it’s Clark. Who has been playing very well. Especially considering his neck issues
