ESPN just showed some one asking Parcells about it.

I quote "It would be news to me"
Don't you think Parcells would know?

I saw that also, and have been concerned about it....hope it is nothing

This is on the ESPN story about TO spitting at Hall...

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed after the game that Owens a few weeks ago declined elective surgery to the ring finger of his right hand. It was surgery, Jones emphasized to reporters, that team doctors strongly recommended he have, essentially to repair a damaged tendon that controls the top part of the finger, above the top joint.

The tendon has split and doctors advised Owens that if he didn't have the surgery then, it would severely limit the flexibility in the finger for the rest of his life.

"He didn't want to do it, because he didn't want to have to sit out," Jones said. "He knew and understood the consequences, it was his call, and he decided to keep playing."

Thnx Hos. Why wouldn't Parcells know about this though?

I said at the time of TO's overdose that Parcells was lying through his teeth about how much he knows. Same thing with the bicycle riding at TC.

Parcells does not like to discuss these topics with reporters so he acts like he has no clue. It's an act. He knows every bruise the team is suffering. Bank on it.

You are right. I have followed Parcells as long as I can remember. I should have known.

BP has no trouble at all at lying to liars like the Mediots.

I doubt that Jerry Jones would bother lying to the media about TO's finger. But remember earlier in the season TO did indeed injury his finger but played thru it and we all assumed he was now fine. It entirely possible we didn't know the extent/seriousness of the injury nor that it could well linger and affect his pass catching abilities.

As for Parcells not knowing, Parcells knows only what he willing to admit to and he'll tell the media nothing rpt nothing. I think he likes the NY media more cause he was around them for so many years with the Giants and then with the Jets. As head coach of the Cowboys, he plays to a bigger national field and the hate/love attitude football fans feel towards the Cowboys which certainly is not supportive.

Who said Jerry Jones was lying? I must have missed that.

Those that do not want to admit anything ever remotely positive about TO. I can understand that- but there is no way this is not true as regards his finger; like to know which one on which hand, though.

Holly cow, you forgot Zimmer.

I have no problem with BP treating the media with the comtempt it deserves. All I care about is the product he puts on the field.

So you'd prefer that we strap Bill to a gurney and feed him Sodium Pentothal before each PC, to make sure he's telling the truth?

The man has no obligation to the media to discuss things he doesn't feel like discussing.
