Why cant I update my sig

I hit the image tage and the menu wont come up,the page just reloads

Not sure.

However if you put <img> then address of image here </img>

Just change the <and/>'s to [and/] and that is the tags used.

If you are still having trouble PM me with the address to the image and I will try to load it in for you.
