Why dogs rock

My dog goes crazy every time I come up from work. Now, not quite as jumping around crazy as this dog, but then my dog isn't quite as athletic as this dog. (plus, I wasn't on deployment for 8 months prior either)

I showed that video to my daughter yesterday... Our dog is still at the vet from a surgery last week. My kids are missing her, and got a good laugh from watching that video & trying to imagine our 12 yr old lab trying to act that way.

Yeah mine does the same every time I come home.

Although it could be just a 5 min trip to the store and when I return you would have thought I was away for years. :laugh2:

That's awesome! I like cats too, but dogs are just HAPPY. Cats will give you that "oh, this dude's home" look. LOL. I love my little Chihuahua. Her name is Miley Dancer...aka Squirrely Girl...aka The Booger. I tell her all my secrets.

Awww..... I love dogs. My German Shepherd died a year ago and I was heartbroken. I adopted my Cocker Spaniel a few weeks after she died from a rescue group in Dallas. I have never regretted it. I'm thinking about adopting another one.

All of my dogs have been adoptions/rescues so as soon as I do get another, well both help each other out. And I know my lab is lonely as hell. Isn't it crazy the humanistic emotions they portray?

So sorry I know the heartbreak. I cried every night for a few weeks after Shasta died. She was so smart and loaded with personality. She protected me too.

It's so amazing the instinct they have. Toby was a big dog (rotty/Shepard mix)
So he never really slept on the bed, but I remember in my partying days, any morning I woke up with a hangover he'd be laying there at my feet looking up at me like "I know you had a rough night, but I'm here for you buddy"
