Why is Dallas not pursuing Ndamukong Suh?

Cowboys D can't stop a nose bleed in the middle. This has been a well known fact for some time now. I don't see why we have not pursued a premier defensive tackle such as Suh. He might be in the twilight stage of his career but his strength has not waned one bit. I believe he could be had for a competitive price. It would definitely shore up the defense in the middle and he is a run stopping nightmare.

They're not going to change their scheme just for Suh. We're easier to run on because we're a light and fast team (Kearse/Wilson instead of a Sam linebacker). Its not great when we have to stop the run, but its great when we have a lead. Suh isn't really a space eating 1T that'll help against the run, we have younger 3Ts that they probably want to help gain experience

Well said! We aren't "bad" against the run... we have run packages. We have been out schemed at times with the run but we are getting better with running the right packages against certain schemes.

Tough call. He wasn’t great last year or I’d be all for it. I’m just not sure what he has left and I’m not sure he’d be worth the cap space or cutting someone at this point. He was a guy I would have liked to have brought in the last couple of years but at this point I think I’d pass.

The reason I'd do that, because he only plays hard in the playoffs. Plus his presence might give the team a boost.

It might not be Suh, but we need a high caliber DT and we have for yearssssssssssss. 49ers rushed for over 200 yards last year, remember the Rams a while ago in the playoffs, and eagles made us look silly and won the game last week. This position has hurt us for a long time and we keep missing in the draft over and over again.Jerry thinks were good though so rinse and repeat against good teams.

I am looking at the playoffs. The current generation of Dallas players have the tendency to bend the knee and get outmuscled in the playoffs. Suh can be lazy and dumb at times. But when he turns it on, I've not seen any one man that can handle him against his will. If Dallas was serious about stopping the run and getting nasty in the playoffs, Su would be my man.

Football is a game of will. More than any scheme. Sometime you don't need a well mannered choir boy to win big. Every team needs a goon at some point.

Suh is waiting to see who is a contender before making a decision. I can see him going to Miami or Minnesota.
