Why Media Heavily Criticizing Team This Week is Good

Post Jimmy Johnson era this franchise always does its worse when it’s hyped up. Had the team whacked the Commodes they would be getting a nice soft week of love and praise.

Instead, they are getting crap from everyone. This team does its best when they are written off and we haven’t lost back to back games all season. I’d rather them go into the playoffs feeling like they have something to prove than feeling like they’re the ish.

A small silver lining of laying an egg last week

I didn’t want to lay a complete and utter unwatchable disaster like that but it’s better than laying 51 last season. Having said all of that Tom Brady doesn’t care. He’s a machine. He doesn’t care who he’s playing, records, etc

I don't know if it's good or bad

It just is. When you play an awful game like that you're going to get roasted and you deserve it

How the team handles it and does or doesn't bounce back remains to be seen. But I don't think this is a case of the media gleefully dog piling on Dallas etc

The Boys had an outside shot at the #1 seed and instead played one of the worst games they've played in a decade, maybe more. Heading into the playoffs that's bound to create some blowback from the talking heads

Nothing more complicated than that

I totally get why they were crapped on lol, it’s the pure fact that they aren’t being lauded with praise that’s an advantage for a team that usually wilts at the slightest bit of expectation.

Plus, we’ve responded well to losing this season and haven’t had back to back losses. Sets up nicely for these trends to continue.

There’s something in the way this team prepares either schematically or mentally after being belittled than it does when it’s being praised.

Probably a lot of truth to that

Human nature to some extent. When everyone is telling you how great you are sometimes you relax

When everyone tells you how bad you suck you want to prove them wrong and shove it straight up their backside

Great observation.
Hope we come out smoking hot Monday and take care of business.

Even if they dominated Washington they would still be judged on the postseason results, so what’s the difference?

Anyone who pays half attention to the NFL understands that last weeks performance has nothing to do with next week.

I think they will beat Tampa….but they probably don’t have what it takes to go much further.

We are stuck in ‘can’t get past division round’ mode, no matter how weak the NFC may be.

The Cowboys need to be humble and focused. Win the games you should win! Beat the Bucs! Beat the Iggles! and then pray in SF! lol

It's never good for your team to play bad enough that they are trashed all week.

It's hard to be humble when these players are automatically being treated like rockstars, despite not having won anything. The latest example is Turpin. Dude had 2 returns in the pre-season, treated like he's the best since Hester, and actually HURT us more than anything in the regular season. The fact he made the pro-bowl is mind-boggling. Dak having all kinds of endorsements before even winning playoff game. This team will never be humble, and that's on Jerry and the culture he's created. I've accepted the fact I'll never see another SB win in my lifetime, and I'm like 30 years younger than most of you. Now, cue the guy that will read this and let it ruin his day and cry about my post.

I think you're overestimating the drive and heart our players have.

They're soft until proven otherwise.

After finishing the season the way they did in Washington, I doubt the players will find it hard to be humble.
