Why Not Give Asim Richards a Chance at LT?

Some of yall may remember I did OL performance deep dives in the preseason, and Asim Richards as a LT ranked as my top backup OL of the preseason. He played against starters the 1st 2 games and played extremely well.

Why are they forcing Chuma (who I believe would be a decent guard) into the LT spot over Asim? Get the young buck some snaps. He can’t be worse than a turnstile like Chuma

I don't think so. He didn't pay him much and we've seen them not play Nolan Carroll, Cedric Thorton, Dontari Poe, among others.....

My thoughts exactly. They aren't going to start a one-year, vet minimum free agent over *any* draft pick if the players are even close.

Agreed. The most amazing thing is Chuma played well at LG in the preseason and we already know Tyler can play LT but they refuse to put them in the best positions to succeed.

Because coaches will almost always go with a veteran to fill in over a day 3 rookie.

You could literally come up with 5 different combinations that are better than what we trotted out there vs Miami. That's on this extremely over rated coaching staff.

Yeah this isn’t a big time free agent pickup probably a one year guy so yeah his contract isn’t why he’s getting the start.

oh, I thought steele is bad. at least his is physical. he just couldn't move although he had the right guy he wanted to block. this guy was plain awful. I mean 4 times he just plain didn't make any blocks. the DE had a direct line to the QB. literally.

Put Chuma at LG??????????
